People voting Dual Sense makes no sense to me, are we really this casual? Sure, it's better than the previous one, but dying of ass cancer was also better than the previous one. Xbox controller still reigns supreme, although shame about the games you can play on Xbox though lol. If you think about it as a PC controller then it's a no brainer.

I haven't used a Switch 2 Pro yet though, but I obviously used a Switch Pro Controller and while that was (and still is) awesome, Xbox is still the best.

Switch 2 pro is so smooth and a pleasure to hold, amazing back buttons too. A shame the dpad is completely useless for street fighter type of inputs.

How is that even a question?

Only DualSense introduced new stuff and is actually a next-gen controller. No other controller made any improvements from the previous gen, which is a huge shame.

Yea Dualsense is the best controller I've ever used. Haven't used Switch 2 Pro controller but no analog triggers pretty much negates it.

I have them all, I'd say Dualsense. Best overall feel, best Rumble. Switch Pro controller is second - great ergonomics and awesome battery life (but weak rumble) (Haven't tried Switch 2 Pro). Xbox controller is pretty good too, but nothing that stands out - it's merely competent.

Only know the Dualsense,i have 2,and the series x controller which i no longer own but its not even close how far ahead the Dualsense is especially if properly supported.

I havent played an Xbox since my old 360, but it had by far the most comfortable controller ever. I loved that thing. Sucks that it required AA batteries, otherwise it would have been perfect. The analogues position just makes sense and feel comfortable.

Dualsense kinda sucks. I have 4 (just bought a new one), and they all have drift or some other problem. Terrible build quality and battery life. I didnt have problems with Dualshock 4.

I'm not lying, if the Xbox controller was modern, like Switch 2 and PS5, we would have more games using new technologies. The Xbox controller limits third-party productions as it represents more than 30% of the controllers on the market.
😳 it limits the market, but it only have 30% market? That would make sense if it was having 60%-70% market maybe. It not limiting anything

3 of my 4 dualshock 4 pads drift.the one that doesnt is the only got used for coop games every few months.

my dualsense is from 2024 ps5 slim, over a year old with heavy use and not a single issue sofar. Got a chroma dualsense too but i only use it when the first one is empty,so almost never.

Also the xbox series controller has massive gaps between its shells unlike the dualsense..also VERY clicky loud buttons.

Different purposes... at least with the Switch 2 if we're talking about stock joycons. It's hard to rate that alongside the other controllers when it is built to function as multiple things: split controller for 2 players, on-tablet controller (so compare to steam deck?), mouse controller on tabletop, etc.
Serious question as I don't have a PS5…. I have heard the dualsense features are cool but how many games take advantage of it? Astro Bot is all I have heard about it.

Series X. DS is nice but any controller with symmetrical sticks is a no go for me over long periods of 3D games. Haven't really had any experience with switch 1 or 2 controllers but I do like the range of retro controllers you can get for switch.

For 2D fighting/retro games I use the 8 bit do Saturn controller. When I eventually grab a switch I'm going straight for some of them retro controllers to play the inevitable backlog of retro games I will end up buying for it.

I also have the razer and asus xbox controllers ( though I mostly use my elite core custom)

Controllers are a bit like swords. Some like a pointy rapier, some like a katana, some like a broad sword, some like a short sword. There is no best controller. But there is always the right controller for your play style and hand size.

That aside. No controller you or anybody here uses will ever give you or anybody here any advantage over me in any game. Ever. You should focus more on that.

can you point to a single game that does this? if not its simply an interesting but irrelevant factoid when we're talking about using the controllers in practice.
Lots of old fifa games allowed you to use analog sprint or digital sprint. Its not mere speculation, quite a few games have done something similar.

DualSense feature set / layout is good but with some minor improvements would be perfect

Metal and rubber construction (Edge has this)
Dome caps default
lossless audio through the headphone jack
way way way better battery life.

I'm tempted to selected Switch Pro just for the great battery life.

I propose a 4th option:
2x Playstation Access Controllers

Whatever stick orientation you want, whatever buttons you want, where you want and more buttons, option to assign 2 button presses together to a single button and no gripping or arm tension using them.

I just cancelled my Dualsense Edge order to get 2 Access controllers.
I don't care for haptics and I hate pressure triggers (and my thumbs can't stand R3/L3 clicks).

Xbox Series. Dualsense feels too big and i have big man hands. Havent tried the switch 2 controller. I'm not spending $85 on a controller that doesnt have hall sticks.
Costco has it for 75 but I sorta felt the same before seeing the Costco price and having no willpower. It certainly feels very nice.

I must have lived in an alternative universe where the ds4 wasn't a piece of shit with terrible build quality when i read some of the post in here...

Dualsense is definitely a step forward even if far from perfect.
