PlayStation Portal, but there's no point in comparing them. One is a streaming peripheral, other is a PC.

I think the Portal, based on a cheaper price, larger and more engaged audience to sell to, and Sony having a better global marketing and distribution network than either Microsoft or ASUS.

Portal by a factor of 500 units to 1.

Asus handheld will never sell like a real big 3 product. It'll be more niche than virtual boy by a lot. The sales will be incredibly low because of the price and the Xbox brand and the fact that it isn't even made by Microsoft and only plays PC games…maybe if it came out at the same time as next gen for Xbox…but throwing it out at the tail end of their worst generation is a bad move.

On the other hand the Portal is a great little cheap device that has found an audience. PS5 main console enjoyers who share a TV should pick one up. It's great for grinding while you are taking a shit.

Considering that Pc handhelds combined have sold 6-7M and the Portal is already out, then I dont see a how a handheld with an Xbox button would make a difference.

I don't think either end up garnering newsworthy sales. While I'm intrigued by the Xbox ROG Ally, price point is going to hinder its sales most likely (and we still need to see this new interface in action). The PS Portal has the advantage of being materially cheaper. However, it's also a niche streaming device that provides a pretty poor experience away from home (if you can get it working). Neither are gonna knock the doors down.

Odd comparison one is a pretty powerful handheld PC that will cost a fortune and the other is a cheap streaming device 🤔 to answer your question the Portal by a huge distance.

One is $200, the other is probably around $800 and has multiple competitors on the market. Gee, I wonder.

What's next? What will sell more, this one specific prebuilt gaming laptop from Asus, or the PS5?
