Who here is a millionaire?

I'm not a millionaire. Not even remotely.
But I've seen some pictures in that thread in where you show off your gaming setup/apartament. I remember there's this one dude that has a godly looking place. Like really expensive.
I bet he's got dem millions.

I can confirm that the first one is not hard to make if you have luck on your side. I made a fortune thanks to the recession in 2008 and just bought and bought while everyone else was selling. bought a house, sold that too. At that time i was just starting my career and had a shitty salary of 1500 euro a month before taxes and something like 1150 after taxes.
i still to this day do not own a car and pay close attention to my micro expanses and I still have my day job ( which i will quit in august once I move to my new home to fully work for myself )

My thing was, i was never afraid to take risks and never afraid of losing everything I have. All my friends think i am reckless, for me it payed off. The moment you get emotionally attached to money is the moment you can forget about getting rich.

I will be when I go to Budapest next month.

I work for a non-profit, I'm never going to be rich unless I start to embezzle some serious cash.

what do you do ?
can i become a millionaire with this current stock dip?

I'm over here just working my ass off to try and get to zero.

EviLore easily could be selling NeoGAF for 10 mil back in the past but he refused the deal. He confirmed this info when asked about.

The first step is being tidy and organised, if you don't have the time or motivation to tidy then pay someone to. Having a tidy and organised environment is a great investment.

Dont get rich or socialists, who never had any effort and ambitions in life, will tell you that its unfair that you are rich and they are not.

That's the thing with most all success. Fear of loss leads to lack of success, fortune favors the bold, etc. Death is coming anyway, might as well swing for the fences. If you're going to fail, it's much more fun to fail spectacularly anyway.

Right now i am not sure if the current stock dip will make you rich, but you can start somewhere and invest.

I Was living on bread, water and noodles during the crisis to put it simple, i was not broke, but all of my money went into investments. i literally walked 10 kilometer each day so i did not have to pay for the subway. i took 1 dinner a day to safe money. like i was watching each euro literally.

If you can do that and understand economics and the markets i think all of you can become a millionaire within a 12 year period. of course, just like me you also need some luck

Honestly, it sneaks up on you. Just stick with savings and avoid/pay off debt. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

i just spent one million credits in warframe. it sucks because i need to grind again for a day or two in order recover that amount.

Yes, but you can't just sit on it so you end up having to invest it in so many things that it just feels like monopoly money that you own in nothing but principle.

I concur, it's a snowball that starts off really small and eventually sort of starts rolling out of your control.

Plus a lot of it is tied up in various assets you probably don't touch, like a house, 401k etc.

So you can be a millionaire but not really feel like you are or be able to spend like what people imagine you would.
