It was marked "North Korea" on the map.

Lichtenstein. We could actually successfully invade and occupy a country of that size with the troops that our genius Secretary of Defense would provide.

France. Strategic placing and alot of Americans already dislike France for various dumb reasons. The placement is already there for tensions and the people can be rallied behind it quick.

We already have bases in Italy, Germany and Britain though.

A guy I know was telling me the other day that he went on a business to America (we're Australian), anyway he was waiting outside a board room or something and the secretary was chatting to him, and she picked up on his accent. She asked him where he was from and he told her that he was from Australia. Apparently she had never heard of it and had asked him if it was one of US's states.

:lol :lol

...oh wait, we already did that ^^;

Louisiana, since apparently that's the best way to get government resources into a place that needs it. And hey, they have 1/4th the nations oil supply!

The guy that said we should go after France next really scared me.

Pssst..

it was a joke, though I don't blame you because their are crazy people like that

nah, its obviously a joke. It's not the first time CNNNN has done something like this. As for what I posted before. Every country has their idiots. Stupidity is inescapable, as your president proves...But im not going into that...im not...really. its ok.

I thought it was funny when people were 'we should attack someone in the middle east...', but then point to the wrong part of the map.

...no one ever says Italy...

Funniest part of the video for me was the black guy at the end, who when commenting on how much larger North Korea is than South Korea was obviously assuming that Tasmania was South Korea. Brilliant.

I dare say she was playing along with the arrogant/ignorant American stereotype; the joke was on your friend if he failed to realise. Perhaps he was too eager to find an example of American stupidity.

How is this real though? How did they get the map to conveniently lable Australia as north korea on the spot?

They made several maps with Australia incorrectly labelled as one of America's political foes, and approached many people with any given one. It was highly probable that someone was going to say one of them while the appropriate map was being held.

but really, you have no idea what the case was.

I was offering what i thought to be the most plausible explanation.

I'd venture to say there is not one secretary in America who is ignorant of Australia's existence.
