256MB of RAM

It's time to upgrade when your present computer is slow as shit or can't accomplish things that you'd like it to.

The slowest machine still running in the house is a Athlon XP 2200+ on a VIA KM266 mobo with built in video (Savage S3?) and 1GB of PC2100 running Win2K. I have a Socket 370 PIII 1Ghz processor and a Via Apollo chipset mobo not being used because I deemed it too slow for anything. :p

Pentium II 166Mhz
some shit non-3d card
32 RAM

This contest is over

I thought Pentium II started at 200 somethingMHz.

In my parents house we have a Pentium 1 at 233MHz.

You're half right. Pentium 2 started with 266Mhz. He's got a Pentium 1 if it's 166Mhz.

Sorry Date of Lies. We have a new winner.

pssssh, I thought it was obvious mine had a turbo button.

It also has an electronic number panel on the front that reads "166"

and I'll take that athlon off your hands shogmaster.

I could of sworn it was a Pentium 2.

EDIT: I just checked:

GenuineIntel
Pentium(r) Processor

wow, it really is shit.
But it can run Diablo 2. This is a solid machine, not like the shit they make these days, don't wonder why it's lasted so many years.

I'd still take that athlon though.

But do you have another computer besides that one? If so, you've been disqualified.

This one - my computer at work :D

It is a little heartbreaking when I'm stuck playing "500 super arcade games" shareware CDs at home while people here complain about not having enough AGP slots on their computer. What's an AGP slot? :lol

:lol

Mine says 1?? I'm pretty sure it says 125 or something, but the numbers don't read correctly anymore.

I lied :D That panel's been broken for atleast 4 years, it doesn't read shit :lol

My computer also has the best keyboard I have ever encountered. So tight and responsive. But I'm deadly afraid at what will fall if I was to turn it over and tap it.

During breaks from college (well, not the summer) I'm often reduced to using a Celeron 333 for internet access. Ugh.

Pentium 233 MMX
64 MB Ram
Upgraded from Win95 to Win98SE about 4 weeks ago

Parents had a similarly configured machine with only 32 MB RAM and 3.5 GB hard drive (up until 2 months ago when I ordered them a new machine). It was purchased in 1996 for just over 3000 dollars. It was lucky it died otherwise they'd still be using that poor machine. Will be salvaging it for parts for mine though (the video card is better - a Matrox Millenium versus a STB Nitro).

RIP DELL DIMENSION M233s

Totally forgot - I have a *working* Timex/Sinclair 1500

Had to be hooked up to a TV to work -- mid eighties vintage

My dad still uses a pentium 200 MMX, 96 megs of ram and a banshee voodoo II

I'm using a p3 933, 256 megs of ram, gf4 ti4200

And I just got my bonus from work so I will be upgrading to a p4 3ghz shortly :)

And my dad can have basically what i'm using now
