I tried buying Shovel Knight on my WiiU and realized my gamepad's AC adapter was busted. No big deal, I turn on my WiiU with my pro controller and go to the eShop. Lo and behold, I try to buy Shovel Knight before I'm greeted with a screen that tells me to enter my payment info with my Gamepad. wat. I realize almost everyone with a WiiU has the gamepad, but this is still a stupid, mindless restriction. What's the point of it? Security? Why not block the number as you enter it on the screen? I guess it's reason #1505 why Nintendo is still ass-backwards on certain aspects of their online system UI.
