Why isn't FHUTA and other stupid junk like it not banned yet?

Look at this thread. Yeah, it's one of those girl thread but the thread starter is young, not hopeless and modest in the way he's asking for reasonable advice. Ctrl + F for FHUTA. The sheer number if instances is ridiculous. FHUTA is old, stupid, unfunny and useless.

Koam had a thread (on the Gaming Side?) on how GAF has and is getting that much worse compared to years past. That's open to debate but surely bullshit of the kind in the above-linked thread is not helping anyone. It's not even good for a fucking cheap laugh.

And while I'm complaining... abusing spoiler tags to black out pointless stuff for "laughs" is idiotic. A mod demonstrated how stupid it is by editing people's posts who did just that and showing how utterly lame the "joke" is by removing the spoiler tag. Beyond that, nothing else was done and that still persists in full force.
 
"Cuddle" or something should be auto-substituted whenever someone uses FHUTA. That would certainly kill it.

This is true, I remember when FHUTA was a bannable offense. It was a weird and uncomfortable time.
 
I'm usually against censorship, but censoring unfunny memes from eons past is a policy I will subscribe to.
 
The only one that makes me INSANE is "posting in a legendary thread". I want to reach through my screen and strangle the dumbasses.

Not that i expected you to find it, but there was a thread or two on this. For the most part, it's stupid to ban memes because they eventually die down and banning memes just means more moderation and poster awareness is needed to keep up with the banned meme du jour. Hell, my first and only banning was because i used a stupid Myspace meme that was even stupiderly banned.

The only thing i wish wasn't banned here is the stupid "OMG titties NSFW ABORT ABORT" rule. Posting pictures of a woman with tits (gasp) semi-exposed is enough to get it locked, and that's just wrong.

That's how I feel sometimes. Being censored sucks, and it would be unnecessary if so many people weren't so fucking dumb and unoriginal.

Why not ban it when its used by someone contributing nothing else to a discussion? i wouldnt even care if someone said fhuta but actually had something worthwhile to say.
