Jumped on neogaf on my phone to see the forum has been replaced to trending posts.

Is this a new thing? Pretty annoying to see trending posts before the forum when entering.

Yeah, I think if it showed the top 3 only it would be better. It is very large in its current state, and I'm on desktop. I imagine it's more annoying on mobile view.

That idea, or just have the the forums section be first, and then trending threads beneath it.

I'm using the old NeoGaf template and the front page looks awful now, and you have to scroll down to see the forums now.
Please change it back, or at least put the trending posts under the forums.

I imagine it has something to do with the recent financial troubles of the forum due to Ad revenue dropping. Maybe having those trending post helps with organic traffic?

Same. I don't mind having trending posts think it might be a good edition but it should be below the forum categories.

Those are for bookmarking posts and saving them within NeoGAF itself. So, you could log on to your account on a different computer and still have access to those bookmarks.
