Why the Gamecube will outsell PS2 and XBox this month.

GC has been lagging mainly due to unforseen occurances, declining economy, etc but I think everyone will agree this month the GC will outsell all the other systems easily. Why? $50 cheaper, with a FREE game. You can get one of the greatest games ever released in the Players Choice lineup with Wind Waker and Mario, along with others. Also Donkey Kong Jungle Beat will be popular still since it was released near the end of last month, along with the release of new Zelda information will spur several dozen thousands of sales. Also people are forgetting Pokemon Emerald is being released on Game Boy, and many will buy a GC and Game Boy Player just to play it on TV. Not to mention the word of mouth of Resident Evil 4 getting more PS2 and XBox owners to go buy a GC.

best buy and circuit city have been giving away a free play choice game with gcs for months, if hasnt been boosted yet, i doubt anything will change now.

I wish the GC for one month would be #1 so this generation can go on record for the system being #1 during a particular month.
 
I just bought another one on Sunday, +1.

GCN Metroid Pack + Crystal Chronicals(free) + Wind Waker (Free) + PN03 ($5) + Mega Man ($5) + PO Memory card = $128.00 US!

That sure was nice!

Well Nintendo sales should go up because of the economy going up. With the WMD report about Iraq many Americans will stop buying American oriented products from Sony, who's associated with music, and Microsoft who is a US company.

Also Nintendo has slowed down producing the indigo consoles, and many people rather have the more unique color and are turned off by the other two colors, but now will end up buying it because of the deal with the free game and so on.

With all the hectic software release schedules, gamers just needed a chance to settle down and appreciate already released Gamecube titles.

Guys.... people are buying GCs like crazy cause Geist is coming soon.

It has the MOMENTUM.
 
I recently bought a GC from Argos for £45 - it was the one with the free Donkey Konga packs. I LOVE my gamecube!
 
A sales increase? Yes. Outselling both the XBX & juggernaut PS2? Unlikely. 150-200k range & that's being pretty optimistic on the high range.
 
let's not forget there were 0 games released for gc this month :lol
at least in may it's getting 3 games, killer titles such as digimon, madagascar and a bongo game
