Why The hell do so many gamers hate AI?

Well I only started hating it recently due to all the crap due to ram prices and availability which will affect literally everything people game on. Ads in the google app (not the video stream, in the video selection screen) with AI generated pictures of political figures getting arrested or something else bad annoy me too (ads are like always from India). Plus how often the ai in google search gets shit wrong. I'll only like it if gets me a holographic ai girlfriend like in Blade Runner 2049. Seriously tho, it'll be great when it can create good entertainment (games or movies), but we are so far from that still (creating a picture from any of them creates so many errors and oddities) and the massive data centers needed for current AI doesn't seem to be worth it yet.

People dont like change, they have a bias for the status quo and a fear of the unknown. AI is a big change so the cavepeople will shudder and shout in fear.

Because it's apparently "unethical". It has stolen data and taking over jobs.

Well, that might be true, but the cat is out of the bag. How many technological progress has been made during times of war? Computers in of itself are probably a product of that, trying to gain the upper hand on the enemy and meaning to destroy them.

But I wish everyone good luck trying to boycott everything that has been touched by AI in the coming years. Pro tip: cultivate your own food and cut off your electricity.

Most gamers don't care about AI in games. This is a small minority of people that seem a lot bigger than it actually is because of the internet. Sort of like the "modern audience" that demanded AAA games to be woke.

Most gamers don't actually hate AI.
What they hate is AI slop. As long the game don't looks, sound or feel slop they wouldn't give a crap about whether AI was used.
2026 could change that but for different reasons like the increase x2-3 or more of electronic prices for which AI is blamed.

Seen some ugly, lazy adverts full of AI recently and it just makes me want nothing to do with the product as if they cut costs in marketing how can I trust the quality of the item?

It'll be the same with games, I'll assume they are trash if they look cheap.
