The deal was originally posted on Hot UK Deals. There will be a lot more than just Gaffers calling Amazon.
If got a feeling no one will be as persistent as GAF though, lol.

I was in this exact situation 10 minutes ago. The guy didn't budge one bit. I will try again tomorrow I guess.
I see this being ruined for everybody shortly... I bet they are being inundated from others who are just trying it on, as well.
D:
IF I'M NOT GETTING IT, NO ONE ELSE WILL Mwahahahahah. Nah, I don't think they'd do that.Really hope they don't back out and cancel all £199 orders :/
Supervisor: There were some customers who were able to place the order when it was sold at 199.99 GBP. Those are the only orders we can fulfil at that price. If there were customers who were not able to order the item at 199.99 GBP but were allowed by some reps, then those reps have done an incorrect action. This is regardless of the orders placed in June, which were cancelled.
Can someone, some nice someone, give me a quick rundown of why Amazon should reinstate my June Preorder?
I have not really kept up with this thread, and am a bit confused as to why people are getting their's back.
To be honest, I don't even think they should reinstate it, but I will try
They explained to me it's because the original June orders (which were cancelled in June) we're cancelled beause the delivery date was.listed as July. So it was a listing error. After that, they're listed without a date I believe - so there was no such error, just a trigger happy listing I guess.
If it helps anyone, they seemed to be more sympathetic when I asked if they could explain why my order was being treated differently (genuine question as I didn't understand the above at first).
So if you ordered a premium in June for £199 but it wasn't cancelled until this month, give it a try. If not, don't bother as they'll say no.
Gave it another try, but it was to no avail.
This time, they told me they are already aware of this thread ( :lol ) and are investigating the issue. I got to talk to another supervisor and he told me that no one was honoring prices anymore, but then I asked him about the supossed email another rep told me about this afternoon and he claims that it was a mistake and that no email is going to be sent.
To be honest, I'm quite mad at Amazon right now. I don't know what's going on anymore![]()

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.
I am sorry that you would like the item "Nintendo Wii U 32GB Premium Pack - Black" at the old value.
Despite our best efforts, with the millions of items available on our website, pricing errors can occasionally occur.
In our Pricing and Availability Policy (see http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=1040614), we state that where an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will cancel the order and notify you of that cancellation.
All affected orders have now been cancelled. If you still wish to purchase this item, please place a new order online which will be charged at the correct price, when we dispatch it to you.
Data Protection guidelines prevent us from commenting on customer or order information that is not related to your account.
I am sorry currently we are unable to honour you the old price.
We endeavour to provide our customers with the best possible customer experience and we realise that on this occasion, as a result of a pricing error, we have not met that standard.
We hope this e-mail answers your concerns and that you will give us an opportunity to serve you again.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
That sux dude and dont understand why there are being selective.

I guess it was initially one or two CS reps doing price changes as a one-off kind of thing, then it spiralled out of control.
No my pre-order in June was cancelled a day later. When I called earlier the women said if the order was cancelled 7 days ago they would honour it but as it was in June nothing they could do but called again tonight and they changed it.
Are they doing this because some people managed to pre-order on thursday for £199.00? I can only think someone thought it was unfair as they had an order in june for £199.00 and decided to query it.
YES!!!
Dude on the live chat basically told me no, no, and no. I decided to talk to someone on the phone and managed to sweet-talk the lady on the service. XD
£199.99 BABY!
That was just a minute ago.
How are you getting through on the phone? I thought they closed up at 10pm?

midnight.
I live in Spain, I don't want to make a call to the UK specially not being a native speaker
Guess I'll try one last time again. I seriously hope those who got it don't get their orders cancelled, though!

Well it's fairly clear to them who ordered what. They can check back on orders, emails, the lot. So rest assured only those who really did have a late cancellation will be honoured (with the odd exception). There's no way to lie your way into it. Thankfully.
Sorry for dbl post.
You'd think so, wouldn't you? I had an email from them saying I could reorder at £199 but when I opened a live chat they said they were unable to see the email so I'm still trying to chase it up now.
Edit: Just had a reply that goes like this: Please write back to us once you receive the dispatch confirmation email, so that we can refund the difference amount.
Please know that we can only able to make the changes once the order get dispatched.
Still arguing with the guy about it
I just got my Premium 32GB WiiU with Nintendo Land for £199
All thanks to the magic of NeoGAF!
Thanks a ton folksDDDD
ps: I love you Amazon. I am currently recommending you to everyone I pass in the street. You are the pinnacle of awesome.

Speaking of which, I just left some really positive CS feedback at Amazon that said pretty much the above. (The rep I spoke to, Shakira, really was lovely).
Maybe if we all leave flattering feedback about how we'll be recommending Amazon to all who'll listen, they'll be less likely to cancel our orders later!
(Really though, they wouldn't cancel our orders now would they?)
Can I just check with the people who have had their orders reinstated? Is it actually showing on your account as £199.XX?

I had an email confirmation of an order placed at £299 and a subsequent customer service feedback email saying it would actually be charged at £199. The order on the website reflects that.

Same
I don't have a confirmation email of the price drop but I'm not worried about Amazon going back on it. Would be a PR nightmare and they wouldn't hear the end of it from me
The price on my order page says £200 though and I have a screenshot just in case.
I am curious to know the minimum wage in England or at least the average salary compared to the states. Also if you don't pay any tax on top of that it isn't that different is it? In Toronto it's an additional 13% on top of any price paid.
