I want a Nintendo Direct to see if NOA will give us Monster Hunter Tri G and Fatal Frame 2.
Probably no and No. Hope for MH4, but Fatal Frame is probably done in the U.S., unless they go download-only route on it.

Nintendo didn't make those games, why would NOA give them to us?

Won't the range of the Gamepad be limited by the technology it uses to send signals back to the console.
I'm assuming that the button press data will be sent across Bluetooth because of Wii Remote compatibility and Pro controller. Then the one-way AV signals over a separate higher bandwidth scheme.
Spirit Camera was a Fatal Frame spinoff for 3DS published by NOA in the U.S, but I don't think it sold very well.
Nor should it have. Of course, the sales of that game will probably tell them that Fatal Frame has no audience in the West.
Whos Lherre?
lherre is good people.
Ugh, seeing Ninja Gaiden 3 on promotional material is gross. Such a bizarre choice from Nintendo. I hope it didn't cost them much.

Eats... is the new thread going up here or on the General side? My vote would be to keep it here and have a separate official thread for the Sept Nintendo thing.
Although I love troll and fan boy banter and am not worried about myself, I'm sure the thread for the announcements will turn into a graveyard and should be separated from our typically reserved bubble.
The improvements they're making are very welcome, and that's nice I guess, but they're not completely overhauling the entire game. The fundamental problem with Ninja Gaiden 3 wasn't the lack of dismemberments, weapon and enemy variety, and upgrading. These were problems, but the big problem was that the game was plain old terrible. Bad level design and boring monotonousness encounters.
schuelma's correct in that it's probably further establishing a relationship between Nintendo Tecmo/Koei, but I still think it's a weird choice. Like, of all 6+ month old games to pick for exclusive publishing with enhanced content, they picked one with almost unanimously negative reviews and a soured fan base. I can only assume they're trying to sell it to people who don't know or play Ninja Gaiden.
What are you talking about? It is almost guaranteed that the 9/13 event in Japan will be the Wii U software blowout.
How much of an impact on performance does running shader model 4 code recompiled to run on shader model 5?
Could this be the reason why ports are only being developed to match current gen levels? The dev time to recode everything would take to long?

We still don't know if there will be an event in Japan on Sep 13th...
I know: you are 100% sure that we will see Japan sw blowout very soon.
I'll believe it when I'll see it.
Plus, I'd hate them if, due to Wii U's launch, they'll drop the ball on the 3DS NDirect.
How likely is it that Nintendo pulls a Monolithsoft with Tecmo-Koei? They've been really close this past generation. Nintendo apparently owns the Fatal Frame franchise now, they published Samurai Warriors 3 in the west, they let Team Ninja make a Metroid game and now they're promoting/publishing Ninja Gaiden 3 for launch. Has a partnership this close ever resulted in an acquisition?
Sigh. There is literally no way Japan doesn't do an event. Iwata has confirmed it in a roundabout way numerous times.
wow. so this must be like the vita of wii u discussion threads.
Well, he's
an alcoholic?
Or maybe it's like the Wii U of Wii U discussion threads, and we just don't know it yet.
an alcoholic?
I'm not expecting it, but it's quite possible and it would make me happy.
It could happen; but I'm not expecting it anymore.
I really thought we were going to get some news last week.
So now I am just going to expect absolutely nothing.
I think you are I mean I think with TGS coming up and the conference on September 13th Nintendo just doesn't feel the need to do another Nintendo Direct right now.
Umm, because Nintendo published Monster Hunter Tri in the west and Nintendo has been publishing all Tecmo-Koei Wii games in the west as well?

Eh? You're saying that Nintendo published Ninja Gaiden 3 on XBox 360? Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on Vita? Even if you're talking about just on Nintendo's systems, Tecmo published DOA on 3DS in the US, not Nintendo. Just because Nintendo decided to show how dedicated they are to "core gamers" by paying to have an exclusive Ninja Gaiden port on Wii U doesn't mean Nintendo is in charge of choosing what games Tecmo-Koei develops or brings to the US.
Well, they said that they were fixing the encounters at least, making the enemies smarter and stuff, so they gang up on the hero for example.
Also, I've been meaning to ask about your avatar. Is that pac-man strangling a penguin?
Or maybe it's like the Wii U of Wii U discussion threads, and we just don't know it yet.

I don't see the differenceObviously, he means Spanish.
Yes but, 3DS was practically skipped at E3 and it's own conference was nothing but games already announced. E3 was about Wii U so Nintendo wanted to get the 3DS news out of the way. ND's are good for announcing new games, but all we are hearing is Paper Mario, Luigi's mansion, and fire emblem and Pokemon. Why bother showing us those games a THIRD time?Yeah the 22nd was the "expected" day going by recent trends, so that is understandable. But, I still think we will receive one. There is so much to detail on the 3DS upcoming line-up along with unannounced Wii-U games we know are coming (Western and Eastern developed games), and I have no idea where they will reveal these details before the Fall Conference (unless they are waiting for that).
The month of E3 had TWO Nintendo Directs; they have to talk about the upcoming 3DS line-up at some time (the Fall Conference is WiiU-only, and Nintendo doesn't traditionally attend TGS).
From the gamestop thread:
PDP just said that their Wii U Gamepad Nerf armor cover is releasing on 11/18

That seems very likely for the release.
You're not counting the Wii game ?
But yeah, we could definitely use a new Wario platformer, especially if they make one like the first game.
mm hmm
I never played NG3, but is it really that bad? Did they really change so much that it was worse than going from Devil May Cry to Devil May Cry 2?
I never played it, was it good?
