Nintendo can only gain from the announcement of the holidays' biggest third-party title for the platform, and since the Wii U version will be available (probably) only five days after the others, Activision loses nothing if the announcement leads anyone who would otherwise have bought the PS3/360 version to change their preorders. Considering the secrecy, I'm kind of afraid that Nintendo might actually be deluded enough to think that this constitutes some sort of megaton.
So you guys think that after the launch dust has settled in a year or so, we will still see some games releasing at $50 and others at $60 as there seems to be now?

Yeah, I expect a mix. Value priced titles as $50 and more traditional releases at $60 (like the $40 titles for the Wii).
Oh hey it was the exact date everyone with a brain was confident it was, imagine that.
You mean to tell me the WiiU CPU is only 20 percent better than
current gen offerings?
ftfy
I recall someone in this thread being very vehement that it would be out on or around October 31st.
Not a "It would make sense" or "It would be nice," but "No, it will definitely be out then."

PAL guys, expect to see it on your shelves around December 7th
Heard similar infos from guys working at electronics department of our company
costs in developing for ps4 and xbox 720 rising http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2012-04-03-next-gen-consoles-mean-increased-development-costs
ps3 was already to expensive for many developers ( capcom for example)
wiiu being first
...
dont wanna jump to any conclusions, but its goin to be interesting...

It could also have to do with Microsoft's agreement with Activision. I don't think the PS3 version has even really been discussed.
Probably could not show it off at E3 and so Nintendo decided to hold off until their launch event.
With the Wii U hardware arriving only a few days later, there's probably no reason that they can't have the Wii U edition of Blops2 on shelves at the same time as the others. It's not uncommon to have games out a couple of days before new hardware.
Hopefully Nintendo will be able to announce an exclusive feature or two when they do announce the game, though. The game seems to lend itself well to the Wii U gamepad.

And this is why folks need to reign in the demands for super-duper-high-end-damn-I-can-see the-follicles-in-Mario's-mustache type graphics.
Costs were always going to rise, just not super duper high. The PS4/720 will still be huge leaps.costs in developing for ps4 and xbox 720 rising http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2012-04-03-next-gen-consoles-mean-increased-development-costs

it had to happen. they even put it on the ds.only question is in which way.
MDX.
It wasn't only him, but his "sources" as well.
... you're fucking kidding right? There is no way that Activision would do that a second time. MW3 was meant to be on the 3DS but Activion made N-space (I think N-space was behind the DS CoD) put it on the DS instead.
You're really bothered by it aren't you?
So what happens if everything you've claimed turns out to be false? Can I ban you?I can ban you.
why kidding? they put it on ds, on wii... why not wiiu?
Cause it was a retarded dick move to do. The only reason you aren't even banned yet is because they can't prove you wrong... yet.
You watch psyche? Love that show. It's on every Saturday night from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM on the ION channel. Best way to spend a Saturday night if you ask me.
And the floodgates haven't even opened yet. Well, at least we finally see light at the end of the tunnel. The 13th of September, oh my.Dang, looks like shit is happening in this thread. o_o
Are you saying if you got a WiiU you would take it apart?Rösti;41458221 said:And the floodgates haven't even opened yet. Well, at least we finally see light at the end of the tunnel. The 13th of September, oh my.
Though with discussions about Wii U's hardware making a frequent comeback the past few days, that is one topic I believe we won't find meaning with until someone does some reverse engineering. I've promised to do it if I only can get money. I'm unemployed at the moment and have no income at all.
I knew it! A day before the Wii turns six.PAL guys, expect to see it on your shelves around December 7th
Ordinarily I'd purchase an extra console for reverse engineering purposes only, I still want to experience Wii U games as intended. And the warranty usually expires once you disassemble an electronics product, and it wouldn't be too satisfying playing the game of your choice and having the console malfunction only to be ineligible to return it to the supplier to have it repaired. Are you saying if you got a WiiU you would take it apart?
I really dont care much for the gusty hardware tech threads not too much into specs.

But yeah, if I get my hands on a Wii U console, I will take it apart, examine and analyze it and post the results here on NeoGAF. I know that some sites already do this, but I often find their reports to be very shallow and lacking of important information, so I prefer doing an investigation on my own.
