Did they just approve every single junior in waiting? There is a large amount of new guys...
I'm sorta glad I got approved 3 months later. I only had a junior tag for about 5 days![]()
And why is everyone posting in this thread and barely anything else?

I think it would be because the WiiU speculation threads attracted a lot of people. People signed up to discuss WiiU with all the other speculators. And why is everyone posting in this thread and barely anything else?
The new generation of NintendoGaffers has born.
Sampei got banned already? That was fast...
Wiimote wise, in my house, we have3 wiimotes+, 4 wiimotes&4 motionplus attachments. So we are set for release, my son has over200 dollars in game stop gift cards for buying the system
Why? Checking his post history he never said anything offensive and most his posts were in here. Nintendo hivemind?
Interesting...
good way of putting it. I... I... feel.....The new generation of NintendoGaffers has born.

ok fixed* oops lolOne down already, huh?
If that's a link to what I think, tinypic was banned last year.
It would be great if only for selling power. WiiU exclusive CoD/Skylanders/Blizzard MMO's would be a gigantic selling point for a very big group of people.Question - if Nintendo bought Activision-Blizzard (which is for sale), and made all their future releases Wii-U-only, would this be a good thing? Would it be a good thing for Nintendo, or would it change their public image too much?
Is that shirt real? LOLChecking over his post history I'd say it's because he got in an argument over the semantics of the wording in somebody's avatar, and just kept posting about it. Welcome to GAF life as a juniorThings are stricter than normal for the first few months, to attempt to maintain the quality of the site.
Now he can wear this shirt with pride!

As real as one can get.Is that shirt real? LOL
I signed up over 3 months ago but wasn't able to post until a week ago. I went crazy and already amassed 300+ posts in less than a week. How do you become full member anyway?.
Wow, ha ha... I doubt I'd ever buy a NeoGAF shirt but that's awesome.Check out the "Store" link at the top of here
...or a direct link

It was a big reason why I signed up in the first place. Not the only one, but it was a big push.
Now I'm approved and a full member and I'm barely posting here.![]()

So is panorama view like a game, an ap or what? Was just looking over whats been showed and I have no idea what it is supposed to be besides moving the conroller around looking at things.
Not gonna happen, first off, it's too expensive. Nintendo goes for the small purchases/no-name guys with talent and then builds up their market value, not the other way around (which sounds like Microsoft's way of doing things)Question - if Nintendo bought Activision-Blizzard (which is for sale), and made all their future releases Wii-U-only, would this be a good thing? That's basically all it is, though you can press a button to switch to an alternate version of the video (the skydiving one had multiple angles I think, and the bus through London had both night and day videos). I think it *may* have a little Q&A thing at the end to see if you noticed a few things, but that's it in terms of "gameplay".So is panorama view like a game, an ap or what? Answering your question, I don't think buying that company would help, Nintendo gets bugged by third party's about "how hard it is to compete with Nintendo-quality products with third party shovelware from unrelated genres" already, they don't want to make a flickery argument into a true one; CoD canibalizes FPS genre sales after all, and being a third party product it is a case of success a lot of third party's are stupid enough to chase. If it was under Nintendo it would be like "they're too strong, better ignore their platform" from the get go.
I think it more of a tech demo. Sorta motion control meets virtual space. Someone mentioned a while ago that the fluidity of the Panorama demo might not be achievable on current gen consoles but I have no idea if that is true.

Things changed a lot since Yamauchi days. Nintendo needs third party's, otherwise every generation will be a uphill battle with lots of pressure from pretty much everybody (customers/retailers) like the wii was.Ah, but if Nintendo released enough games they wouldn't *need* third parties. In fact when they released the Famicom, that was their plan, they didn't want anyone else making games for their console. Their console was for their own games only (and then when they did finally relent, they imposed severe restrictions on third-parties, which were eventually ruled illegal).

Well, I have a bit of time on my hands and I like to converse.Damn, Drago, you mean business. I had a similar plan (my account is also over three months old), but 300 posts in less than a week is a whole new level ofobsessiondedication![]()

In fact Nintendo typically stays out of purchases altogether otherwise Next Level Games, Monster Games, skip and a few others would be theirs by now.
That said, Activision-Blizzard has some advantages, first off I think Nintendo is clueless regarding how to do network-optimized code for multiplayer online. Blizzard knows how to do that with a blindfold. Neversoft and Vicarious Visions are also good developers that are stuck in there and could enjoy a change of ownership, for sure. Treyarch is also very competent with porting; they could fill in for Silicon Knights kind of deals (Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes running on MGS2 engine)
And True Crime could be influent in forcing Rockstar to relent regarding GTA V.
It's a damn shame they killed of Bizarre Creations too, because that one was on sale and it was one of the purchases I felt Nintendo should have done.

Also wouldn't help the industry, as CoD is one of the most widely recognized franchises precisely because it's everywhere, being on a Nintendo platform would potentially devalue it, while Battlefield (for example) would continue being multiplat.
On top of that, western devs are really prejudiced against nintendo these days, the whole "we don't have the most raging platform out there" hurt even Retro-Studios ranks which is a case of success; there's no telling how many devs would quit when purchased by what is in their eyes their "casual" nemesis.
The company also seems plagued by financial problems and Nintendo won't have none of it.
At most I could see them buying some smaller studios out of them.
Well, I have a bit of time on my hands and I like to converse.
I should be doing other things (playing games) but GAF is more fun.![]()
There's been no new info that hasn't been said already (i.e more powerful).Haven't posted in the Wii U thread in a while. Did you guys ever find out where the Wii U is in terms of power? Compared to the HD twins, of course.
Nintendo has released a video of the Wii U experience. Found this in a thread of GameFAQS made by SorCloud.

You will most likely have to wait till launch when the console is torn apart to get any aggregate numbers.
I guess I have low expectations, but if the Wii U can do just as good graphics as Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3 on the PS3 then I'm good. I also have a huge number of Wii games that I wanna play. (Never got one)
That is, if developers put the time and effort into games to make them look that good.It can do better, so your expectations will be surpassed.
There has been some speculation and bg has hinted/said that performance of the Wii U GPU should be similar (not exact) to this: http://www.amd.com/us/products/embedded/graphics-processors/Pages/radeon-e6760-discrete-gpu.aspx
Taking all that into consideration, it seems the Wii U GPU is going to be really power efficient yet pack a punch, kinda like......the......Gamecube.....

I'm sure Nintendo will, but what about others? :/
When the PS4 and 720 come out they will push Wii U's hardware more.
If games are continued to be made on WiiU :lol
It's an unfortunate fate but I'm pretty sure WiiU will go the way of Wii and be mostly ignored. Of course I don't know anything yet (and neither does anyone else) but based of the last 3 Nintendo systems... well, I'll have my PC and PS4.![]()
