I've never ever had a problem with netflix. So weird that others have
I always find it weird when a lot of people have problems I never encountered. I must be lucky.

Dosnt.People with problems on netflix: just open the wii u menu and delete your netflix app and save data. Actually, you just need to delete netflix save data and redownload the app or start it over.
It works!
I hope this update makes firmware updates download faster, mine has been going for almost 20 minutes now :/
The download took quicker than I expected! The update is 700+ MB. It's one of the biggest ones they've done.
Yes, that was not the point, it was the bolded. There are a number of ways to say "besides WiiU", so "non-Nintendo hardware" does imply not just the WiiU, but the 3DS as well.We already know that Nintendo plans to bring connectivity to smartphones and PC.

Oh thank god. I can finally hook it up to my system finally!
There is Cross game Chat & Text?
Obviously it's not that simple.I don't get it... Why do we still have to us the wiimote to play Wii games on the Wii U game pad? The game pad has enough buttons and the screen is a touch screen with a stylist... Couldn't they just use that in place of the wiimote IR pointer?
So, this update hasn't fixed netflix, right?
Obviously it's not that simple.
CC-only games working with the Gamepad makes some sense though. Maybe it'll happen someday.
Ugh, the loading is still garbage.
This update did absolutely nothing for me...
Are these updates just like PS3 updates where it downloads the entire OS again instead of patching the existing firmware like the 360?

Isn't the Wii U supposed to update automatically? Mine hasn't done it yet for a firmware update

I gotta be honest, I'm really disappointed that there are no folders. I primarily purchase my games digitally, and my home screen on the GamePad is a cluttered mess. That's the ONLY thing I cared about getting for this update. Frustrating.

they aren't all like that, but based on the apparent size of this one, I think it might be

My eshop music is identical to what it was before, so I'm wondering why some of you are saying it's different now.

You need your TV on to start Wii mode, even if you are just using the game pad you still need the TV on for the. Wii menu to boot.I just completed my update and my Wii mode keeps crashing...
I first put in Ghostbusters: The Video Game and the system began loading the Wii mode, but then abruptly turned off... I then grabbed Super Mario Galaxy and it does the exact same thing...
Anyone else have this issue???? My Wii mode is worthless now!
EDIT: The system only crashes in game pad mode. Wii mode opens and works fine in TV only mode.
