I'd only want a Yoshi's Island if it was done in-house at EAD with Tezuka back as one of the directors.
In other words, I don't want another Yoshi's Island.

lollol. I wonder if anyone actually thought it would look like that.

With all those rumors about Good Feel developing the next one, I wouldn't mind them developing it with Tezuka as one of the directors.I'd only want a Yoshi's Island if it was done in-house at EAD with Tezuka back as one of the directors.

Why not? We're already assuming a ton of shit like Metroid Prime 4, Retro Zelda, F-Zero, Star Fox, Earthbound HD, etc.For this scenario to occur, you'll have to make the giant leap of assuming that Tezuka is going to be a director again.
Remember these mock ups:

I don't want that all! At least not made by the Aunoma and the A team. The only game I DEMAND for the WiiU is a sequel to Four Swords. If I don't get it I will burn effigies of Iwata, Miyamoto, and Aonuma.

Why are people who voice their opinion being demonized? Nintendo wants to make games that people want to play, and we are the customers. It makes sense to say what we want to play, and it makes sense for them to listen. That doesn't mean they are completely at our mercy.
Now we need to figure out how to make wishful thinking come true.....Well, while we're wishing for stuff I suppose I can wish for Nintendo to lend Monolith Soft to Square Enix so they can work on a Xenogears remake. Then I can also wish that tomorrow an insider will burst into this thread to reveal that Wii U is actually running a hypothetical UE5 engine.
If Nintendo listened to fans......

Mario should be in the same vein as this:

Yo.
I actually googled "mario rpg belt zippers". Good enough.so he needs more zippers![]()
pssshtt, Ocarina of time was the peak. Just make the same thing but muchmuch more and it would be instant 10/10s.Why won't Nintendo just go back to the 2D Top-down Zelda? It was the peak of the series.
ahh that mature mario topic... still creepy
Perhaps you missed the part were I said "That doesn't mean they are completely at our mercy."
There are plenty of silly ideas out there, but on the other hand, there are just as many fantastic ideas that have come from fans. You can't just throw them all out because of those drawings. Like I have said, Nintendo has sense. They wouldn't just take the first suggestion that comes their way.

now that I'd be happy with. They should go back to it but imo release games on the 3DS imo.
I've never seen a fantastic idea come from a fan outside of small tweaks (like ideas for HUDs in Zelda). All I see are people demaning more of the same or more of what used to be. Never something that's yet to be done.

troll much? lol
That's a shame, you're missing out. It's also insulting that you assume that all fans are morons, or can't come up with something interesting.
I didn't say they were morons. It simply makes sense. Fans are fans because they like something about a series. They're naturally going to demand more of it. There's nothing moronic about that. Nintendo's job is to find and create what fans don't know they want yet, not provide more of what's been done. I'm fine with suggestions that venture into totally untreaded territory, but I think it's in Nintendo's best interest to ignore any idea that revolves around "going back to" a past iteration or being "Just like _____, but more of everything."
2D Zeldas are overrated.
2D Zeldas are overrated.
Except Link's Awakening. AKA, best Zelda ever.
I would love to see the Starfox universe crossover with the Star Wars universe!! Its crazy, but possible.![]()

What you said is "Nintendo should not listen to fans", that would include suggestions of untreaded territory. I agree that in some instances Nintendo should not cater to fans, which is why I said in my first post "That doesn't mean they are completely at our mercy." I'm not sure how much more clear I can make myself. I think Nintendo would be foolish to ignore fan feedback, but they would also be foolish to bend to their will.
That being said. It seems you are arguing the same thing in this post. What gives?

At around 41:34 in the video of Nintendo's E3 2011 media briefing, there's a sequence of a guy entering a room where another guy is playing New Super Mario Bros. Mii (looks like it anyway). And it's apparently time to watch some baseball, so the gamer dude has to succumb to playing on the small screen while the other guy can watch baseball on the bigger screen. Now, I can see some annoyance, at least in some households, building up if this will become a repeated pattern and New Super Mario Bros. Mii or whatever game has to resort to the Wii U remote every time there's some good tv program. Thus, it would be a nice feature if you could perhaps take turns - one day the game is on the big screen and the TV program is on the Wii U remote screen, next day it's vice versa.
How the Wii U manages to stream content from a big screen to the controller screen I don't know, nor have I any insight in what standard procedures it uses. Though I would assume it works similar to that of a TV tuner card, so technically speaking it shouldn't be impossible to utilize the Wii U remote as a TV receiver, questions arising are then related to copyright and EULAs. Anyone knows if this is semi-accurate or if I'm talking baloney?
