Yes and Nintendo's portion as well. At the same time the stores shouldn't have the inventory costs eating into their margin giving them much more wiggle room with how they set the DD costs.
And I agree. GS would be less likely to price a DD too low to where it would possibly eat into their used games sales, yet because a store like WM does not depend on used game sales they would be much more likely to sell DDs at a much lower price causing people to look in that direction anyway. And I wouldn't be shocked if that allowed a WM or Target to do DD/physical bundles as well to increase that advantage.

Generations was one thing, but no way in hell does this game get 3DS and Vita versions and no Wii U SKU. Not a chance.

why not adjust your bet to say only EAD branches of Nintendo
that way those outside guys with some experience pushing HD coming to work for Retro do not screw you

Still wondering why Slightly Mad Studios is allowed to (again) publicly list a Wii U version of Project CARS on their website, though. Perhaps because Nintendo doesn't intend to include it in any sizzle reel at E3?
The financial report showed that Nintendo has hired 400 new employees across all departments. That's a pretty big expansion.

Could also be how comfortable they are with saying something. Some may just be more paranoid than others about possibly breaking the NDA and are just overly cautious. Or maybe some have more restrictions about saying something than others.

I know this discussion is from late last night but to continue what I was getting at, the reason I think it's much easier said than done for Nintendo to win japan in both console sales AND developer support is because the way I see it, they don't only have a perception problem in the west, I think they have one back home as well.

F-Zero's no ordinary racing game, chums.
The races need to be fast paced and aggressive, with only the finest racers coming out on top through cunning and wit.
It'd look visually magnificent as well.
I don't bet when I have serious doubt that I can win. Plus, I like you. Sorry. That game is the main reason I'm certain that many will claim that Wii U is confirmed to be weaker than current gen after the conference.
The preorder cards already leaked, at it seems like only the PS3 and 360 will be announced. It doesn't even seem like they'll announce it for PC yet.

they do. I'm not talking about console sales. I'm talking about developer support. Sony won developer support this generation from japan. I don't buy that the power difference was the be all and end all of reasons why. I'm suggesting that it's a bit of a perception problem as well.

They seem to have more freedom than others when considering things like the Developers' Roundtable and the recent AC3 announcement. But "more freedom" is still subjective.

Keep in mind that that would have no bearing on system power whatsoever, but how much money was put into the game's development. Nintendo doesn't tend to put huge amounts of money into their games, except maybe Zelda, and without those high dev costs, system power means zilch.

It's still entirely possible that they were only allowed to announce ACIII for Wii U because it was already sorta-announced last E3.
I'd love to have heard the call Ubisoft got after the Rayman trailer leaked. I wonder if they tightened the leash a bit after that.
