Wii U Speculation Thread The Third: Casting Dreams in The Castle of Miyamoto

That's pretty much what I thought. That's why I posted here first, to see if there was any other information corroborating this.

TP hawk is an ugly mess compared to demo hawk.

To think, that, if Nintendo made a remake of TP, that's how much better it would look.

Nintendo should have made an Epona demo in Lon Lon Ranch. I want to see Epona's visual upgrade.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Hmmm.
I would like to learn more about this...

I find them to be like the cats of the sky. Just the way I talk with them, I am weird that way. But they can remember you, so I do my best to make a good impression, usually by feeding them...

Er... Anyways. :P

To bring this back on topic, I would like to see Raphael the Raven again. (Please new Yoshi's Island game)

Mental note: When crows take over the world, find Cabbie's house for shelter.

Why is this guy not banned? Is posting troll gifs for every reply acceptable around here?

Dude, you need to lighten up. You know what the point of the gif was. You're melting down. You're having debates about blind people and media and putting folks on your ignore list. And I post tons of replies without gifs. But here, they're playing video games in this one so I'm on topic:

EvilDick, as much as you're right about Ace's fanboyisms, you're making just as much a fool out of yourself right now.

If you really think the Wii U will be 6 years behind, then I don't know what to tell you. We have the Zelda/bird tech demos, along with Epic (Mark Rein of all people) praising the machine and stating they can make stuff that looks better than the Zelda tech demo fairly easily.

So as much as you can complain about people who love Nintendo too much, you ARE being hypocritical because you obviously hate Nintendo too much.

In what way is he right, exactly?

He's already posted. First people are going to believe what they want regardless, and second don't depend on him so much. Nothing against his info, but he's admittedly as bound as some of the rest of us are.

Oh okay I didn't see this

Oh, not this, not now ><
A lot of websites are relaying this "Wii U < PS360" drama... again ! ><
With the same following comments, the same fanboyz Vs Haterz quote wars...again ! ><
It's tiresome and exhausting. And in these moments, there's a drape of shame enveloping this media, still rather immature compare to other ones when we witness that.

I'm done with this line of conversation. All of you making excuses for this not being a visual medium are all the same people who will drool over new screenshots of the next big game, you are just blindly defending Nintendo's strategy of being 10 steps behind the competition.

Man, I'm totally lost. What does saying that gameplay is the most important part of a game have to do with anything related to the Wii U, Nintendo, or defending their strategy?

His (Dick's) posts are IGN-tier, dude. Don't even sweat it.

Oh, dang sorry guys. I've been busy. I'll work on it some this week if I can, but hey, it's not like E3 is next week. We've got time. ;)

*tear*

Well, time to break this out for the wait then.

That you're a Nintendo fanboy?

How is this a revelation?

But in the context of his post, how is he right.
I freely admit I'm a fanboy. But for fun, not because I'd die for the company.
I've openly bashed them and praised other companies many times over.
Just because I happen to enjoy posting in Nintendo threads, doesn't mean that I'm not level headed and rational.

It's a visual medium. He's right, at least partially. He and the rest are just taking the conversation to unnecessarily stupid levels.

I would hope that the fact the medium has graphics speaks for itself, but at the end of the day no amount of snazzy graphics will trump good ole gameplay, which is all I was saying. Not saying that graphics don't have their place, but they only go so far. I would think that this generation illustrates the point rather well. I guess ultimately it all comes down to being fanboys...at least according to some people.

Never said Nintendo doesnt create good stuff, they do..but guess what? Over the last 6 years you had to play the Wii on an HDTV in subHD resolutions which meant asstastic visuals. And boy, those millions of people sure made the Wii successful over the last two years as the Wii's sales momentum dived off a cliff into a fiery hell as Xbox and PS3 continue to drive video game sales.

Yeah this is false. There are plenty of people who have a focus purely and simply on top 10 NPD and the absence of certain games on it is seen as failure. What you dont see is all the mid to low range budget games, including multiplatform games, and amongst them there are plenty of cases where the Wii version is the #1 selling version.

Granted, they arent the kinds of games that most of GAF loves, but Wii software is still selling well by virtue of its installed userbase that has probably skewed younger in the past few years as the price came down and core games decreased in frequency.
