It's just nice to see somebody thinking reasonably.

I've been saying it for months--Nintendo doesn't NEED the "hardcore" gamer that's interested in high-end graphics, etc. They never had them on the Wii and it was hugely successful.

It goes against my personal desires (I'd love to see them put out a powerful console that competes with the Sony/MS consoles) but, business-wise, I see why they would keep it cost-effective.

I know about PR-BS but really, why would they explicitly state that the Wii U's mission was to get those gamers back. Could've just gone without saying that then and possibly spared us some drive-by-haters.

yeah but it won't be a wii situation, I honestly don't blame many developers for not porting to Wii. Some stupid reasons overall but I don't blame em.

But if there are 3 hd consoles that aren't WAY too far off in power, I hope it's not an issue. That and the souls games don't push graphics THAT much. I hope someone asks them at E3 or something what their plans are.

edit: actually it looks like they plan to support PC so I guess that could be my backup...all is now well. Easier on console for me though.

I do Doom loops for hours, and I don't even play the damn character. It's just so fun :x

How many N64 games did you own?

I think ~25. Most play time was dedicated to Mario 64 (at least 1000 hours alone), Smash 64, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, THPS2 and Diddy Kong Racing.
