Will Dragon Ball Super be re-animated?

Lmao at people defending DB super's shitty look by saying DBZ also looked like shit.

So what? It is excused to just look like shit? Ok.

Why is there some revelatory shock that some shots in a long running anime look like shit sometimes, based on the same franchise that had some shots that looked like shit before? And water is wet?

Oh look at these hideous drawings from a multimillion dollar disney movie!

Better send it to Madhouse and get some real quality in there!

See what I'm getting at here? Point is it's easy to cherry pick to get hyperbole across, when in reality there are highs and lows to any production of any scale. But what am I thinking expecting sound reasoning in these kinds of threads

Speaking of Toei, and bluray release differences (I tried googling but couldn't find anything).

Anyone know if the bluray releases of One Piece feature any touchups/re-animated scenes at all?

Do the home releases get re-uploaded to places like Crunchyroll? I'm assuming they only ever have licenses to the original TV versions?

The difference is that though you can find ugly frames in Beauty and the Beast and Hunter X Hunter or whatever, they actually look pretty damn nice in motion. That is more than can be said for DBS.

Looking at Toei's previous track record it's never gonna happen for DB period. Unless someone wants to prove me wrong? I don't know shit about the movies so there might be something amongst them maybe.

There's plenty of well animated Toei stuff out there. Just look at One Piece. Same situation as Dragon Ball really. Long running show that doesn't look great most of the time, but every once in a while you'll get a really well animated episode. We had a decent amount of them recently.

They typically don't, which sucks. CR doesn't pick up movies or OVAs on a regular basis either.

Yes, this is what I would say the problem with ep 5 of DBS is. Frames don't say a whole lot, but when you watch the actual episode, you can still see those bad looking frames, from which I assume why is because there are not enough of them.

...You know these movies have far more frames of animation than DB super does so all that looks like to people viewing those movies is fluid movement. Meanwhile in those scenes people were complaining about in DBS, there wasn't enough animation to begin with, and you could actually notice the terribly off model frames of animation.

I have homework for the two of you. Dust off your dvd/bluray of Beauty and the Beast and at look up both time codes for the shots I selected (7:30, 54:00) respectively, and look at this animation "in motion". They still look like hot shit. More drawings only means there are more hot shit drawings. It doesn't matter how many drawings they are if the keys are garbage.

There's still a lot of this going on, where anything that's not a pre-rendered cell is just a freehanded approximation:

...and then a few scenes later, they just reuse derpTien again...

(actually they do it one more time but I'll spare you)

And then there's this gem:

Is actually real, ... Episode 05
That screen's been posted on quite a few sites (spanish ones tho)
That's the episode all this buzz is being built around.

Jesus.

That looks like some fan made newgrounds dreck.

I know the series has had varying degrees of quality, but that would have to be the worst, just judging from stills. Guess I'll have to give it a watch sometime soon.

I really hate how people have to take little single screen grabs to prove points when that is not at all a representation of the overall quality of the show. Yeah the show has had horrible moments, like Episode 5, but it overall has been rather well done.
