Hoping this gets in personally.
they should put this song on there
Yeah those modern days multimillion dollar deals with modern bands like, ....Tom Petty and Heaven 17 (the two only songs we know to be in the game/attempted to be).Remember when GTA games featured music for the atmosphere and vibe, instead of because of multimillion dollar deals with record companies?
Yeah, those days are fucking gone.
That's due to only licensing for 10 years, they've been doing longer deals now for a while, only one song was removed from GTA V for example.I hope so but i doubt it due to licensing issues, just look at the songs removed from the older GTA games, but i hope custom radio is in the game unlike the remasters, i liked putting my own songs in and listening to them.
Yeah, hence wanting custom radio in the game and why Vice City had such good radio stations, and i wasn't referring to GTA V but the older games that i played a lot more of SP wise, i'm not expecting those songs in the game anyway. That's due to only licensing for 10 years, they've been doing longer deals now for a while, only one song was removed from GTA V for example.
Other license issues will mainly be around the big hitters and those who don't do it as often, don't expect artists like Michael Jackson, Metallica, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc as those are key known bands that are a nightmare to license songs from.
This! The music will be fine, doesn't Sam pick most of the tracks himself? The man has good taste, let them cook.Yeah those modern days multimillion dollar deals with modern bands like, ....Tom Petty and Heaven 17 (the two only songs we know to be in the game/attempted to be).
Seriously I don't know where some of you have this idea that in a GTA game it's ONLY going to be modern stuff. Shit even in GTA Online there's stations like KULT playing stuff from Joy Division, New Order, Iggy Pop, etc.

Which is basically all 90s all the time. Radio is so weird today.Theyll be a radio station for oldies.
Otherwise itll be music that makes sense for the era.
The Journey?I always used to listen to that weird sci-fi type radio station when playing GTA 4 i can't remember the name.
Although Vice City is a masterpiece i never was a fan of 80s music.
I hope its modern music.
There's literally an 80s song in both trailers.Game us sadly not set in the 80s :/
I hope there is proper licensed 80s music.. but its modern day Rockstar..
I'm in my 40s now and the music that resonates with me the most is from the 80s
While GTA VI is clearly set in the modern era, the decision to place the game in Vice City surely must surely be based on the huge nostalgia people have for GTA Vice City, and a lot of that comes from the soundtrack, so do you think they're going to lay it on heavy with the 80s stuff?
For me, in GTA V, everytime this absolute banger comes on in the car I know I'm going on hit and run spree…
When they removed this banger from the horrible remasters, I knew there was nothing "definitive" about it. Also, both trailers had 80's music in them so definitely a dedicated station. Long live Tommy Vercetti and Ray Fuckin' Liotta!I hope so but i doubt it due to licensing issues, just look at the songs removed from the older GTA games, but i hope custom radio is in the game unlike the remasters, i liked putting my own songs in and listening to them.
I'd love another Talk Talk song to feature in the game (Life's what you make it was in GTA Vice City). I'd probably go for 'It's My Life'.
First Trailer isnt a 80s song lolThere's literally an 80s song in both trailers.
This is where I'm at. Much like the previous games. But I could see there being an awesome station with songs from the same era, or maybe even some of the same songs. Kind of like a throwback or something, because it's Vice City.Theyll be a radio station for oldies.
Otherwise itll be music that makes sense for the era.
