Will & Jada Under Investigation By Child Protective Services Over Daughter Willow

It’s looks like Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have a new problem on their hands. According to reports, the Hollywood couple is under investigation by the Los Angeles Department of Children And Family Services over a social media post of their 13-year-old daughter in bed with 20-year-old actor and friend Moises Arias.
“The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

In response to the backlash, Jada told reporters it was no big deal. “Here’s the deal,” she said on May 7. “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it. You’re acting like covert pedophiles and that’s not cool.”

I agree with Jada.

Using imagination gif incoming.

I don't see a big deal about the photo either, but I can understand why CPS would want to reach out to the family to fully understand the situation.

So I guess child services are worried that Willow and the other actor might be canoodling or worse? Seems a big leap to take from that picture alone.

This picture.

Has gotten child services involved?, this is just stupid, very very stupid.

Phobophile

A scientist and gentleman in the manner of Batman.
I wonder if there would be no backlash if they weren't Scientologists. I could see this as an excuse to get the kids out of that environment.

First of all Moises Arias is fucking 20!

I know hes short as fuck but damn.

secondly. its the smith kids, who cares. but really the pic can be easy to take out of context.

So a 20-year old now can't occupy space close to a 13-year old anymore......

.....the world
America
has gone mad.

What 20 year old is friends with a fucking 13 year old?

It's an industry where you can become a huge star and millionaire if you have the right friends and connections. Also the wording makes it seem like he's a friend of the family and not Willow Smith only.

Either way this investigation seems ridiculous based on the picture

There's nothing wrong with the photo, but what's the story behind it? Or was it from some sort of photo shoot?
Reading up on it, Moises is a friend of the family and was hanging out with the Smith children (and other friends) and a lot of photos got taken (as usual now days really), then this one was picked out by the media and used to start all the (what I'd call, manufactured) controversy.

I have to agree, its the media and those who ate up the news who thought the picture was sexual in nature, that just shows the mindset of society which is also created by the sexualization of everything which hollywood also partakes in so its an endless cycle which the peers of both these actors parents themselves created. I mean this is the society which it has become. In the 1970s when a 30 year old guy used to call another couple's 5 year old daughter cute, it was seen universally as a compliment, Now when a 30 year old guy calls another couple's 5 years daughter cute, the parents hold thier daughter more tightly and look at the guy as if he is a pedophile

This is stupid. Don't get me wrong, this family is annoying, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with that picture.

Nah. There's something wrong with your 13 year old daughter "chilling" in bed with a grown fucking man. Let's cut the bull, lol.

But is that on it's own enough to justify a child services investigation? Doubt it.

But if I were pops that shit would not be going on once I become aware of it. The fuck a grown man and a 13 year old have in common? They both like cartoons?

Ah I see.

Well, I suppose the Smiths should know not to splash personal photos into the open, but I dunno. Media gonna media.

Yeah, what 20 year old actor would be friends with the daughter of two actors and someone who is an actor/singer herself. Not to mention her older actor brother is probably friends with said actor as well. This guy played some character on Hannah Montana a few years ago. Who knows what kind of friend he is to the family.

I have to agree with Jada, quite a few people are projecting their own thoughts/beliefs/fears here.

I really wouldn't say they're both "in bed" - more like they're sitting/resting on the bed. Is there a difference? Yes. Especially since they were with friends in the room. I think there is nothing to this "controversy".

I used to have a friend who was in top shape that would randomly take off his shirt while everyone was just hanging out in the house and talking. When he was gone the girls would always make fun of him :lol

But if someone there had taken a cell phone photo it would have looked exactly like that.

Hang on. Call me slow to react (everyone: YOU'RE SLOW TO REACT), but... Will and Jada Smith's children are Willow and Jaden? That's almost as bad as Nigel Lawson calling his daughter Nigella.

Yeah. Example here:

You can call it "projecting" in an attempt to devalue my view. That's fine. But I call it common sense. Family friend or not I wouldn't have my 13 year old daughter in bed with a grown ass man "Just hanging out". But if you're cool with that as a parent then congrats, I suppose.

I just believe in age-appropriate social interactions. I don't expect a 13 year old to be cognizant of such a thing. But I do expect adults to know better. Sorry I'm a bit old school, lol. I'm not on that "anything goes, nothing's out of bounds" parenting style. A more acceptable social interaction for my standards would be him with his shirt on in the living room surrounded by his adult mutual family friends and they can sit on a couch and talk/watch a movie whatever.

Are they physically in a bed or not? Now we're redefining being in a bed? C'mon....

Friend of the family? Friend from the business?

Growing up my dad was friends with this family a few houses down and i used to hang out with this guy who was 19 when i was 12 because we both shared interest in games and monster movies. I used to hang out with this guy when his parents weren't home in his bedroom and not once did anyone get up and arms because who the fuck automatically assumes that shit? People are fucked in the head.

There are numerous reasons they are hanging out why does it always have to be sexual and why does age matter?

I think the problem is the fact the dude has no shirt on.
So now if an adult takes his shirt off near a girl under 18 he's fucking her?

Remind me to dress in full snow gear when going in a toys r us so nobody thinks i am trying to fuck all the kids.

You do know he wasn't just hanging out with a 13 year old girl right?, he was hanging out with a 16 year old girl, a 15 year old boy and a 13 year old girl (i think there was 1 other, though not sure) - and that he is a friend of the family.

Firstly, it's not a 'grown ass man in bed with a 13 year old.' It's a bunch of friends in a room chilling out, 2 of which in this photo were ontop of the bed. Secondly, there's nothing sexual about the photo at all and there seem to be other photos of other people also chilling out.

Change the location, say to a sunbed in the garden. Same postions. Is that just as bad to you?

I agree with you, find it highly weird and wouldn't let my 13 yr old girl (if I had one) hang out with a shirtless 20 year old on bed, it's just weird. I guess perhaps the authorities have seen how much freedom Willow seems to have that they felt the need to see if anything untoward was happening (with or without Will and Jada's knowledge).

And the end of the day you can't call them stand up parents when you see what she gets away with at 11 - 13 years of age .....
