Last night I wanted to buy State of Decay but I did not have any Microsoft points. I went looking for an option to buy the game for its actual price vs having to buy extra points (2100 points) but I could only find an option to use a credit card to buy points. I would love microsoft to drop the points next gen and show the actual price of things like the PS3.

So what are the chances of this happening on the xbox one? My guess is slim to none.

Edit: I should mention I ended up not getting State of Decay because I didn't want to pay extra.

In Europe we don't have 1600 points cards.

Only: 800, 2100, 4200.

sometimes 1200 cards aswell.

I didn't think there was an option for 1600. Regardless, if you buy the points over the xbox you are paying more than you would online or in some stores. I will be getting the game as soon as I can get some cheap points.

getting value cheaper was never easier than on xbox.

i dont get it why some people cant comprehend this system and would like to switch to a system like nintendo or sony...

example for you:

normally 800ms points are worth 10€(if you buy them directly with your cc on xbl)
but online(ebay) you can get 2100ms points for 16€.

the same goes to xbox live gold:60€ if you buy them retail or on xbl.
online you only pay around 25-30€.

where is the problem?

Xbox Music and Xbox Video don't use points on Windows 8, so it's only logical that games are next.

Points have been great, been able to pick up quite a lot of cheap 2100 cards over the years that never cost anywhere near their actual £ value.
