My buddy got banned from Rewards for doing the three years of GamePass for $1 trick, he was banned after that $1 trial month expired, to the day. That was two years ago, and he's STILL banned. I feel bad as I'm the one that told him to do it, and to this day Rewards work just fine for me. Curious how many people this actually affected, as I've never heard anyone else mention it.
I look forward to my MS rewards from my time on PS5 after all EVERYTHING is xbox
It was if you weren't a new sub. This was considered a violation of the ToS to Microsoft Customer Service when he inquired, hence the ban once the trial period ended. You know, the one they CLEARLY outlined. It was never a trick/exploit, how do you think anyone even found out about it, MS literally put it in their terms and conditions outlining exactly how the gold > game pass conversion worked.
No he didn't get banned for that, nobody has.

Yeah, and then you take a look at the actual ToS, and what does the second sentence read?
Their terms said nothing about "new subs", in fact the entire wording for the conversion was "If you’re already an Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold member, any days remaining in your membership(s) will be converted to Ultimate using a conversion ratio"
The 1$ trial also doesn't even show up for users if it doesn't apply to them.
So yes your friend did something else that was ban worthy, converting gold to ultimate isn't and never was.
Gold to ultimate conversation is not a promotional offer, and it's impossible for new users because it only applies to people that have active gold time obviously."Promotional offers may be for new members only and/or not be valid for all members and are only available for a limited time"
Getting it for $1 was.Gold to ultimate conversation is not a promotional offer, and it's impossible for new users because it only applies to people that have active gold time obviously.
And again, the 1$ offer doesn't even show up if you can't use it on your account, so your friend did some other shit, no way around it.
I didn't say it made sense.Even if the dude was "exploiting" xbox deals, why would he be banned on rewards? what does rewards have to do with anything? just doesn't make sense lol
What part of it not showing up for a user if it doesn't apply?Getting it for $1 was.
I was able to get $1 GamePass multiple times, I reupped twice with it. This is technically against ToS, as I quoted in the post above. If that's fuckery, then sure....but that's what I've been saying all along, and others insist this was no "trick/exploit'. Was the "not showing up" for previous subscribers bit broken? Or not originally part of the terms? Keep in mind this was over two years ago now. What part of it not showing up for a user if it doesn't apply?
Sounds like your friend went looking for a promo code somewhere and manage to apply it somehow; I say somehow because if it detects you aren't eligible, it won't even allow you to redeem the code.
So again, your friend did some fuckery.
Then you were eligible, simple, not all promos are created equally, some do indeed work for lapsed users; the promo will not work if it doesn't apply, it will just flat out refuse to redeem.I was able to get $1 GamePass multiple times, I reupped twice with it.
I have over $6 right now from just December.Cant wait to cash in my $3.25 gift card that took 4 years to finally get!
I’ve been doing the five day one every week for a while. With that you end up completing the weekly and monthly quests. 12000 points for a free month of Ultimate. I’m still stacked until December 2027.

Lastly, today we’re sharing an important update on earning Rewards with Xbox. This update aligns more closely with our continued commitment to foster positive, age-appropriate gaming experiences by making points earned through play activities available only to players 18 years and older.
Finally no need to get an achievement almost every day to finish the monthly quest, now I just need to play games I like and I'm not forced to play some games just to get achievements.
Now if only Diablo IV PC was counted toward PC games being played that would be nice as it's on Game Pass but for now it never counted, not even "Play a game on PC".
Its a significant downgrade. 350 monthly bonus for playing 8 games. 1000 pt bonus is gone. Weekly streak is total of +100. X4 weeks is +400. Weekly bonus for me this week is 175. So Im guessing this multiplier is like +25 pts.
I play mostly Diablo or Indiana Jones currently on PC, sadly Diablo has to be launched through Battle.net (which is liked to my Xbox account and is launched when I launch the Xbox App), but it's not counted either as a PC game nor a Game Pass Game.Isn't it cause you're basically using the Battle.net launcher and not game pass itself to play?
You can just use any random game like Donut County and for it

If I don't play Indiana Jones I'll just launch Solitaire Collection on PC and let it run for 15 minutes or even do a few games.
When I could not start a game on my console or PC just to get the old "Play a Game Pass game" quest, I just had to start Solitaire Collection on my phone and it counted as a Game Pass game.
I get 150 plus 25 bonus for being a GPU member so 175 - isn't yours the same? The blurb says x4, so it would logically be 150x4.
Surprised to see your weekly is 175, mine is 150. Odd.

Check on the console. No, the weekly's show 150 for me for both PC and Console separately
But I do have a new multiplier table at the bottom.
They have Amazon giftcards. Can I use the rewards to buy the PS5 Pro version of Indiana Jones?
To be fair - I think its changed today along with everything else. I used to get the extra 25 on day 5 and its only day 2 for me so will let you know. No, the weekly's show 150 for me for both PC and Console separately
But I do have a new multiplier table at the bottom.
