I think it's pretty hard to get tickets as they use a lottery, or you can line up for hours and maybe get in to sit on a hill?
The first pro tennis tournament I went to was in Miami and it was a revelation. I mean, I always kinda liked watching it on TV but after seeing it live I was blown away by the athleticism. Anyways, I guess my point is if you like tennis go see a live match, you won't be disappointed.

Have day passes for the middle Saturday of the US Open this year and could not be more excited. Never seen pro tennis live before.
All I can say is try to get as close to the court as possible even if you have to go to the outside courts. I was literally first row at an outside court at the French Open and it was awesome. In the main stadium I was up higher and while still cool it's just not the same.
I would too but in tennis it seems when you lose even a little skill you literally fall off a cliff. Not sure he's there yet so I'd like to see him make another run.i just wanna see roger win again

I would love to see him play Nadal again in a wimbledon epic (even though it would be in the semis). Even though I'm mainly a Nadal fan, I'll be sad to see him lose. That may very well make him stop playing all together.

Well this is good. One thing I think he has missed this year is mental toughness. That was something he had going in 2012. He's not playing bad, much better than last year in fact, but he's still mentally losing games at points and just not consistent.
It could be mental but the mental game is very much tied with your physical abilities. If your body moves slightly slower and makes you miss more shots, you start to doubt yourself and lose confidence. Federer is going to need to bring everything he has at all levels if he hopes to get the best of Nadal, Novak and Murray.

I like his game...and that's all Imma say about that.
And for people who love pace (like I do, and some of my returners), a fast serve just means that it's gonna come back even faster. In one of my service games, one of my really good serves came back even harder than I hit it and I could only block it (and it went out)
The off-pace serve is seriously one of the most underrated things in tennis since generating your own pace is pretty difficult to begin with. I think it's hilarious how a lot of people make errors off of my nothing second serve....and it's not like I'm trying to do anything special with it.
But serving hard and fast is the "thing to do" and there's a pretty good chance that it won't come back. But for good returners, it's not as efficient.

I actually have DY making it to the 4th round. The only seeds he would potentially face to make the 4th round are Dmitrov and Dolgopolov. I don't think either have been playing well as of late.

Wimbledon has always been my favorite. The best matches in the history of tennis have been carried out on those hallowed grounds.

He did, but his only big win was against Wawrinka, and Wawrinka hasn't played well since his AO final. I don't see Wawa being any sort of threat at Wimbledon.
I have the top 4 seeds on the mens side making the semis. No surprises. I just think after the chaos of last year, some stability will occur this year and Nadal, Fed, Murray, and Djokovic will all persevere to the semis

Yup, that's why I put him on my banner in the OP ! Played pretty well last week. He has Roger's type of game with a bigger serve, I don't see Young beating him.

Especially with two WC games going on at the same time starting Monday, but luckily that should only be an issue for the first sets of games and matches.
Three monitors and a laptop and iPad if necessary. My body is ready. NEED ALL THE FEEDS.
I'd probably pick him as well. Dimitrov's biggest issue is with stamina in 5 set matches. If a match goes the distance, he tends to shrink/cramp. I really hope he can do well here. He had a pretty good match against Tsonga a few years ago. At any rate, he should be able to top his best performance here (2nd round).

I have Djokovic taking it. Probably the homer in me, but I can't see him going through the year without a slam title, and I think Wimbledon is the one he takes.
Yeah, especially with the work he's doing with Rasheed (regarding his stamina issue). He already proved he can go deep in a slam draw in Melbourne.
As I see it, even if the "major" grass tournaments before Wimbledon are only ATP 250 (that'll change next year), they are a pretty good indicator of a player's potential to do well at the slam. You look at the winners list of the past ten years or so, the guys who manage to take home Queen's or Halle usually manage to go pretty far at Wimby at least one time in their career too. I don't see why Dimitrov would be an exception to the rule.
Djoker will lose against Stepanek, 2nd round, it is written.

And Rosol will beat Nadal again, but in the 2nd round. And David Goffin will find his form again to beat Murray in the 1st round. Fed will finally get old man cramps and will retire from his first match. BECAUSE FUCK EVERYTHING THATS WHY
Yeah he has definitely been improving in that regard (and in general). He did really well at the AO, but that first round loss at the French was pretty disappointing. Good to see he rebounded though. This could be a really good opportunity to at least make the quarterfinals.

If Dimitrov wins Wimbledon, it will have been the biggest fluke ever. No way does he beat anyone in the top 8 en route.
And I forgot that Nadal and Rosol could play in the 2nd round again. This reminds me of how Isner and Mahut MYSTERIOUSLY were matched against each other again after their historic 2010 encounter.
I don't want to say the shit is fixed, but....the shit it fixed.
