So you can't create a shortcut for Microsoft Edge? That means there is no way to use Edge if you use a third-party Start Menu. Wow.

That can't be right...right? lol. That sounds crazy.
Question: Is it possible to upgrade from Windows 7 32-Bit to Windows 10 64-Bit?
I think im gonna go for a complele clean install.
Any methods besides the "Reset" PC or is that one fine?
I did a reset one and it's fine. You can do that, or you can follow this guide (from "For the Free Upgrade..." onwards) if you want a complete clean install. In short: you have to upgrade to W10 first, then activate W10 (something usually done almost instantaneously) and THEN perform a reset or a clean install using the Media Creation Tool.
I suddenly can't connect to any of my Microsoft accounts. (i.e. Hotmail, account settings, Windows Update).
When I use the mail app, it states "Your Outlook settings are out-of-date." then I have the option to "fix account" or "dismiss". Selecting Fix results in a long waiting time followed by an error that it failed.
If I launch Windows Update, it infinitely sits in the loading screen with the moving dots across the screen. I can't even log into my account on Microsoft.com. WTF? Everything else works fine....
System Restore to a few days ago did the trick...hope that doesn't happen again. Ugh.

So I wanted to change a setting in BIOS and hard shut down my laptop when Windows was loading. After I changed that setting, my computer started freezing up on the desktop 10 seconds after starting. I went to BIOS, reset all settings to default, but then the same thing happened.
I ended up restoring to a previous date. Now, Windows has become deactivated. I try to activate using the Windows 10 key that I saved after my initial upgrade from 7 but it says that the key is blocked.
If I were to remove the device from my Microsoft account, would it get unblocked so I can reactivate with the key?
You have a second monitor? The clock and icons might be there.Woke up today and my clock and icons in the taskbar are missing. Searched a little but haven't found a solution. Anyone else run into this problem?
Photoshop versions after 6.0 (including 7.0, CS, CS2 ...CS6):
A:If a tool is behaving erratically, first try resetting just that tools preferences, via the method outlined by Len Hewitt in the post below this one.
If you have larger troubles, hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file.
After using the ancient Photoshop 7 for many years and leaving my disc behind in America, I've decided to go ahead and download CS2. But when I attempt to run the program, as soon as it opens, it tells me it's stopped working and it's just a white screen. I've tried compatibility settings but nothing seems to work. I kind of need this for a project I need to work on.
Anyone have any ideas of why this might happen?
Edit:
Apparently, ...
If I hold down alt ctrl shift it opens. Deleting the preferences file doesn't seem to do anything though.

Looks like a Norton 360 thing.. kill it with fire
...or Norton -> Settings -> Backup Settings -> Backup Status Overlays -> OFF -> Apply.. (icon check-marks will be removed next time Norton runs its scheduled routine thingy, so can take some time unless you trigger it manually)

Norton uses the exact same checkmarks as OneDrive? That's weird.
how can i remove to put my PIN to sign in after every reboot?
Open a Run prompt and type in "netplwiz". Then uncheck the box at the top. That'll get rid of the username and password prompt, if that's what you're referring to.
That's pretty funny. Yeah I dunno, might have to reset Windows. On a laptop so that's a no go. While I can still do everything by tabbing through windows (Except for seeing the time) something clearly went wrong.
