It's been stuck for a half an hour and no, no other screens attached. It restarts multiple times during installation. Do you have any other screens hooked up? It's possible it defaulted over to another one.
Yes, it's just called "Movies and TV". derp.

Upgraded, seems to run fine, Waterfox and Firefox are hosed, tried uninstalling/installing again and nothing, weird, everything else seems to work OK.
I did a hard reset and windows recovery popped up. I chose to reset my PC.A few others had this problem. Give it another half hour, then reset.
Ok so I just got hit with the update but it says it's 2,712.6 MB. Wasn't it supposed to be a almost 6GB update?

I have all updates installed on 8.1 64 Bit.
Help.
Disk Cleanup. You'll have to also choose "Clean up system files" in order to remove old Windows versions.Whats "Drive Clean"?

Weird. Try restarting?
Yeah, I believe the download is around 3GB then 6GB once decompressed. That's how it was for me and it ended up working fine. Maybe it's compressed well?
I still get this error after it says "Checking requirements", then the second image when I run the troubleshooter. Finally succeed at forcing the update:
1) Deleted the "C:\$Windows.~BT" folder and the content of the "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder.
2) Refreshed Windows Update and installed an small ~100KB Windows Defender package.
3) Entered the command "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" in the cmd.exe as an Administrator.
Hopefully the rest of the process will go smoothly.
I keep getting this error message when I do the command line force update.

Yeah, this was happening for me on my desktop PC last night. No idea how to get around it other than to wait.
To force install, should i delete $Windows.~BT (the whole thing) in addition to the downloads under the Software Distribution file?
Windows Media Player is still there.
I believe someone posted here a "Windows Update FixIt" patch or something. Can't find it.I still get this error after it says "Checking requirements", then the second image when I run the troubleshooter.
Maybe I should also delete the $Windows.~WS folder?
I had three different download sizes. GF's computer was only about 2.8 gigs, worked flawlessly.
Two positive responses I'll take it! Let's hope I'm as lucky. That's how it was for me and it ended up working fine. Maybe it's compressed well?
So I reserved a copy of Windows 10 on my Windows 8 installation, but decided to jump into the insider preview about a month ago...
At this point I want to do a fresh install of Windows 10 and have several Windows 7 & 8 serial keys. If I download the ISO using the OP's link and reinstall it on my system will I be able to use my 7 & 8 serial keys to activate Windows 10 after I do the fresh install, or do I need to install windows 7 or 8 first and then go though the "upgrade" process in order to be able to activate my serials?
Yo, you guys already running Windows 10, is it still easy to change your system's Region/Locale via control panel?
