It seems September is pretty solid for next wave of Windows Phone.![]()

That event is at the day GamesCom starts, but not on the exhibition side and looks like a press-only party (with lot of booze). So it seems doubtful that they'll announce the Sea Ray at this event. You can win three Xbox 360S with Kinect and three Nokia Windows Phones, but you'll only get the phones when they're available.thirty said:nokia microsoft event 8-17, save the date friends.
Nice choice and welcome to the WP7 club.Sennorin said:Omnia 7 get!

He's not lying, I can't believe that I ever used the phone before Mango. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but the small improvements add up.xbulletholes said:play with it a bit, then upgrade to mango as soon as possible. you shan't regret it.
Next year will be a lot of fun. Halo 4 etc. And I try to gather a lot of HaloGAF dude. Maybe I'll look into a location for kind of big Halo Lan in cologne. Otherwise I'll be able to speak FrenchMagniHarvald said:Won't be there this year Hyper, I'll see you at another GCIf there are 999's on the showfloor, steal one for me

Not at all. You literally just have to run a single batch file (no input required) and then Zune automates you through the update process as usual. It's a bit trickier restoring back to NoDo, but you'll be fine as long as you keep your backup.Blablurn said:is it difficult to put mango on it by yourself? i for one, have no experiencing in upgrading mobile phones etc.
Cool. It's such a stylish phone you won't be disappointed.S1kkZ said:my omnia 7 will arrive on friday, its also my first smartphone. cant wait.

I'll be at GamesCom, but only at the weekend. I hope they'll have the phones on display.
Update: Well, don't ever say we told you to temper your excitement. We just heard from Nokia itself that this is nothing more than a "local developer event," and to not expect any new devices that we haven't heard of before. But hey, at least the fall edition of CTIA isn't too far out...

http://www.tmonews.com/2011/07/t-mo...-for-future-display-sign-of-upcoming-devices/Windows Phone 7 fans might want to do a double take at the above image as we have what we believe is the very first piece of evidence that a 4G Windows Phone 7 device is coming to T-Mobile. T-Mobile retail stores often receive display unit stickers, graphics and images well before a phone arrives and in this case we hope a new Windows Phone 7 device is on the horizon. As you can see in the second picture there is clearly a distinguishing difference between the Windows Phone 7 stickers and 4G Windows Phone 7 stickers.

How reliable is this? I'd be interested in going, but it'd cost me about £30 in travel. Is the money guaranteed?Meus Renaissance said:Own a Windows Phone? We want to hear from you! Attend a research panel in London on 10th/11th Aug (and get £60). Sign up: j.mp/mVC1tv

Own a Windows Phone? Want to tell us what you love, what you dont love, whats your favourite feature? Were looking for 24 enthusiastic UK fans to attend a research panel in central London, on the evenings of 10th/11th August at 6:15pm or 8pm. Youll get £60 for your time, trouble and travel. Well also feed you and might have some surprises on the day and beyond.Sounds like the money is guaranteed. If you can't make it and I'm lucky enough to be selected I'll let you all know and will compile a series of requests/complaints you guys have and take it with me.
MagniHarvald said:I won't be able to make it... Screenshot function would be the easiest quick fix, if you can request that![]()
http://www.wpcentral.com/sea-ray-not-be-attendance-gamescom-eventSea Ray not to be in attendance at Gamescom event
Looks like the possibility of Nokia and Microsoft showing off a new Windows Phone at Gamescom is fading with the sunset. We first caught wind of a Nokia/Microsoft event scheduled for August 17, 2011 at Gamescom. With promises of exciting actions and surprises, we all hoped to see the Sea Ray in action.
The Seattle PI has reached out to Nokia and they clarified the event a little. Nick Eaton reporting writes,
"Nokia finally got back to me. Spokeswoman Marianne Holmlund said the event is a local business-to-businesses event organized by Nokias Germany arm. The save the date is misleading, she wrote."

Umm. How does one go about this?Robobandit said:-Have your phone audibly tell you about incoming calls and offer to read your incoming text messages and reply to them with the power of your voice
-Enjoy the new artist background on your lockscreen when music is playing

And that works for calls, too? I only saw text on it. Thanks for your help.Robobandit said:Go to settings>speech and scroll down to the bottom.. set "Read aloud incoming text messages" to which ever setting you want.. if you set it to "Always" it will say "Incoming Text Message from <Contact Name>.. say Read it or Ignore"
If you say "Read It" it will read it aloud to you and give you the option to reply, call or say you're done.
as for the artist background, it's in settings>lock+wallpaper

You can change between a few colours. If you don't like the UI you aren't going to like it anymore with pink tiles.
