My point is that I don't think that every GSM carrier out there needs to approve every iOS app update, which is what he is implying. I don't even think there is any evidence that any carrier has this power. Especially since some areas operate without carrier subsidies and customers just buy unlocked phones on the market. Carriers can disable features by not supporting it, or requiring people to pay extra fees, but that is different from the implication that carriers are blocking or delaying firmware updates.Brettison said:What's the point? The betas are limited to anybody that pays $99 for a developer account and their friends. It's to provide a test base for developers making iOS apps. Because there are possible bugs they want you to refrain from using it as a normal user.
