Today's Bing wallpaper of the day is gorgeous.
Which one? This is what I've got on Bing:

So, I got my LG Optimus 7 back and it's working ok. However, I just noticed everytime I check out the bing image and click one of the popup boxes, the cellphone crashes and reboots. Anyone else experiencing this?

Before Mango, snoozing my alarms would snooze it for 5 minutes. Now, any time I snooze its 9-10 minutes before it goes off again. Anyone else having the same issue (feature?). Haven't found anywhere to customize it.

It's now 9-10 by default. I don't think you can change it.

The new version of TuneIn is fantastic! I now have the Giant Bombast tile on my homescreen and can stream the newest version with a simple press. :D
it is great and is my music app of choice until last.fm and others get updated.

Tell me your favourites :) I miss adding custom podcast feeds to tunein, even on the website you can only add playlists.

I'm pretty sure 9 minutes is more of a standard than 5 minutes was--at least my priors phones used to snooze for 9 minutes, I believe.

i just went on the USA version of the site. and it was amazing.

this was Canadas picture.(not as cool though)

I just go to the US Bing search on the PC and especially on the phone. Canada Bing is still too gimped.

Curious to see iPhone 5 reveal today and peoples reaction. I really shouldn't be too curious though becasue I'm pretty sure what the reaction will be.

If Sprint doesn't want WP7 in their lineup of phones and if the iPhone 5/4S/whatever it's called, I may be forced to make a decision.

I'll wait after this week as Sprint has a conference this week as well.

I don't blame you sadly.

How can anyone blame you? Your only option has been the Arrive (which is decent, but I'm sure you want something new and updated like all of us). Then Sprint seems enamored with, first Android, and now apparently iPhone. Which is fine, given sales and stuff, but why not announce some WP7 devices? What would be the negative for that for Spring or MS or any of the manufacturers. At this point, I'm ready to upgrade BAD, I want a new device, I've been holding on to my upgrade all summer long, but at least I have some announced Windows phones. Sprint and Verizon customers don't even have that to hang their hats on.

For those that don't know, download the Insider app if you like Bing backgrounds.

The app gives you tips, info on new games and apps, and free ringtones and Bing backgrounds.

I must have asked this several times before but, one more time please; what factors determine the speed of which your phone renders/loads web pages when you're on a e.g. 8Meg connection wifi connection?

Sounds like the apple conference is underwhelming so far.

We will see if they have that "one more thing" moment but it does look like its been underwhelming so far... and probably the best thing that could have happened for wp7 mango.

What I like about Apple however is that when they announce something officially, it become available with known date. We are still guessing about the next Windows Phone launch date even though mango launch last week. There are no date for the Focus S or Titan, nothing on Nokia phone. If anything Apple know how to create hype and then keep it going.

Now, I'm conflicted once again which platform to go on.

It's all about the UI for me, and Metro wins it hands down. You can also make phone calls, text and read your email. The live tile apps are fantastic. People weren't holding out for Siri, or the improved camera or iCloud before deciding on whether or not to get the new iPhone.

Jump in and try some Mango

Stephen Elop must be pretty happy that Apple didn't show some space age magic iPhone5 with Nokia's WP7 conference coming in 3 weeks.

Unlike Apple, that's not something Microsoft can control. I'm still amazed that they were able to roll out the Mango update like that.

Agreed... Nokia has a fighting chance now but we will have to see what they end up showing.

didn't somebody float a 3000px screen in the other thread. LOL

anyway, the new Nokia phones will at least have a fighting chance after the 4S announcement.

Was just going to say that. I would like to upgrade to a Nokia phone or the Titan when they are available, but I haven't had my Focus very long and my wife would kill me. Probably will have to wait until WP8. (Still really happy with my phone though, and I love Mango).

I feel so much better about my decision to get either the Titan or Focus S when they appear after that Apple conference. One more bullet to dodge, the Nexus Prime conference. Unless the WP7 phones drop first.

Obviously that's because MS doesn't make the phones.

So yes, it is an advantage of Apple ... but it's not like this is because MS is doing something wrong or something they could rectify.

Subtle difference ... just saying there's nothing MS can really do other than for specific phones they are partnered with. So maybe we'll see that with Nokia's phones.

True, though for power-whores the A5 is a pretty significant step up versus what's in the pipe for WP7 this gen. Well, depending on how Apple clocks the A9's. Certainly the GPU advantage is huge.

WP7 getting HSPA+ will likely sway some though.

A simple question whats the best windows phone? Can they stream Windows Media video files (WMV/ASXes) from registered sites?

Just wondering or should we just wait till windows 8 phones/tablets to release.

I don't think that sways too many.... I think most were begging for a larger screen and this will not have that. Also I don't think the power whores were not really looking to ios anyways (that was always androids play). What the iphone still has done better than any other phone is the fit and finish of their devices..... and that is what wp7 desperately needs. Nokia can put out hardware that is on apple's fit and finish level (maybe the only oem).

But I think they key will be for that ace rumor needs to be true (even if it doesn't launch until early 2012 it needs to be shown off)..... if it's just the searay I don't see too many choosing that over the iphone 4s.
