I deleted my original post, because I didn't want to be called a Microsoft-hater or something like that, and because my situation is very specific, which means that the "problems" I'm having (ot the problems I would have had) are non-existant to most people posting in this Thread. Anyways; I'll post my story again.
I didn't have to work today so I just stayed at home to play around with the phone as soon as it shows up. Before it showed up I went online and read about it, watched videos, and did stuff like that. All the websites I've visited were american (english) ones and I did not think that the experience I was going to have with this phone would be any different from the experience those people are having. I was wrong. I found out that not only do I get a gimped version of the Zune Marketplace (no Podcasts, I'm a huge Podcast-fan), I'd also not be able to experience Xbox Live like everyone else. It turned out that there's something called "Xbox Live Extra" that bascially gives you the functionality to interact with the people who are already on your Xbox Live Friend List. Messaging, comparing achievements, etc. This Xbox Live Extra is currently not available in my country (Germany) and no one at Microsoft has any information about wether it will be available at some point or if this is just something that'll be exclusive to english-speaking countries.
Some might think that this is a minor problem, but I've experienced stuff like this before. For example; 18-rated games can sometimes not be on Sony's PlayStation Network. Demos are forbidden if they're rated 16/18. I'm waiting for Sony to fix this problem since they've released the PS3... they haven't. Since Microsoft's XBL Marketplace doesn't have these restrictions (for some weird reason) I thought that there won't be any differences with my phone either. There shouldn't be any differences and there's no reason for them. Even though this might seem like a minor problem I'm not willing to pay the same amount of money for a phone if I get less features. I'm already paying more (compared to what I'd have to pay if I were buying it in the US) so I want to at least have the same amount of features... The funny thing is; there's a video available on Xbox Live that shows all those Extra Features.
I sent the phone back as soon as it showed up and I don't think I'm going to buy another WP7. I really should have gathered more information before I clicked the "buy" button.
