@cliffsimpkins: Invites should be out to all registered app hub developers within a few hours. We're pushing them...now #wp7dev

VanMardigan said:Because these are beta builds, I may just hold off until the RTM leaks. I'm not sure what has changed in this version of the beta, but all the previews talked about features that didn't work or hadn't been turned on yet. Or I could wait for impressions from anyone here who tries it out and see what they say is missing or not functional.![]()

The press. Maybe it will be different for devs?Wilester said:Where did you read that we'll have to restore our phones from a backup when Mango comes out publicly?

Guess not:
@davidhearn: Agreement you need to complete to get #wp7 #mango really does try to press the point you need to keep your backup safe
I'm glad that I can always flash my LG back to 7.0 RTM.
You can find RTM ROMs for some phones at XDA and flash them, like in the good old Windows Mobile days.Wilester said:I thought you could only restore to the previous version?
Did then already approve your account?Robobandit said:I'm weak.. I just registered on app hub..

Some people said that they didn't get verified by geotrust until they submitted an app..
Congrats.VanMardigan said:Man, my son was born just a few weeks ago, there is no way I can justify $100 to get Mango earlier. I'm going to have to stay the heck away from this thread.![]()

Robobandit said:What documents did they need, if you don't mind my asking?
I already filled out the questionnaire with SSN, etc..
edit -
I'm a registered developer.
Phone is dev unlocked.. just waiting on my connect e-mail with links to mango..
You're losing your warranty by doing this, but you'll get support from Microsoft if your phone bricks.Wilester said:Me too.
Just reading through the supplied PDF. I'm actually quite nervous about doing this now....
And that youre not supposed to talk about the beta.snoopeasystreet said:They really want to make sure that you back up your phone before updating.
Like, really, really sure.snoopeasystreet said:They really want to make sure that you back up your phone before updating.

You need an unlocked device to run the tool. Otherwise it links you to the AppHub.PSGames said:That's worded as-if non developers can install the update too... but only registered developers will receive support.
You already can update your phone. All you need is an unlocked device and the tools, that you can find at XDA. No need for an AppHub subscription. I'm updating my private phone right now, which is kinda stupid, because you *can* update more than one device, but MS will only help you with one bricked device.jagowar said:I am soooo very tempted to sign up but I have faith in a few days the xda guys will get around things so anybody can update their phone.

Don't test it, if you're not a registered dev and you don't want to risk your phone. You're installing a beta version of an OS update via over a distribution method, that itself is still in beta.user_nat said:Hmm, not sure if I want to risk it.
Any more detailed impressions guys?
No.jagowar said:I must have missed it.... any chance you could post a direct link?
