I had a bit of trouble subscribing to the UK holiday calendar but it worked eventually. Not shown up on my phone yet though (still showing US Holidays, which I deleted from my profile online).

two choices for that app
1) full jailbreak which could be a complex procedure depending on phone
2) $9 for the chevron homebrew break which is a sanctioned code break probably as much access as you'll really need

remember you'll take a hit on battery life running it, more so if you set it to update every 10mins rather than 30, and if you leave it on a 30 minute update yo'll have to open the app to get the accurate charge.
 
Played with a Titan last night. That is one sexy phone. Of course my AT&T shoved the Titan, Focus S and Focus Flash into a corner with the iPhone 3GS and some other free phone :lol

The iPhones are separate in your store? Interestingly enough the new WP7 phones were in the same section 8-phone section as the iPhones, so they were getting a lot of traffic two of the three times I went in there. When I got my Flash, another lady also bought one over the iPhones.

And my Titan has been fantastic. Some people are reporting issues though, but I haven't ran into any of them. Call quality, gimped DL speeds (haven't measured, but it's still way faster than my old phone), and random restarts (no problems here, but it might not be Titan specific).

My only complaints about the phone hardware are the questionable decision to put the antenna in the shell instead of the main body of the phone, and the button placement isn't as good as it was on the Flash (don't like the top power button).

My AT&T store they're in the back corner where the door is to the back of the store. Terrible.

Yeah. So cheap on Craigslist and eBay. At our Christmas party our receptionists husband who's an iPhone guy but a nerd was blown away by my Titan.

My woman who was an Android fan girl only took two days to declare my Samsung Focus hers after her Nexus S died and she had to use my Focus. Her Nexus S has been back for 4 days or so now and she doesn't care. Still sticking with my Focus.

yea I am getting 3 sometimes 4 bars with the Titan and 5 with the Focus S.

Also the titan call quality (on listener's end) on about half of my phone calls is simply unacceptable. As much as I love the Titan I have to relent to the Focus S for now, May keep the Titan as a back-up or exchange for another titan to see if it's a lemon or swap for back up Focus S.

Is there a good speedtest app?
 
Finally got my Titan syncing. Had to manually install the wp7 drivers. Loving it so far. My girlfriend even loves uses it and she has tiny hands. No complaints about call quality. Man I love the size of this thing. No way I could go any smaller after this. Love the build quality on this as well.
 
There's this weird thing that's been going on with my trophy (or maybe I'm just not understanding it). The Marketplace live tile will say "6" or "7" on there, or some number around that, like there's updates, and there's always either no updates or just one. It's kind of annoying.
 
Is there anyway to group artists together after you purchase something from Zune? I had some other stuff downloaded by the same artist, but it was under a different name. I tried renaming the stuff on my iTunes to match up with the Zune name so I could sync it into one group, but it simply won't change it. It'll show it's changed on my iTunes, but it won't make changes on my phone. Not a HUGE deal, but kinda annoying.
 
I wonder if they are waiting for Tango to release skype.

Perhaps some api's that need to be implemented before a fully functioning skype client can be released (im thinking of receiving incoming calls...which i don't think is as easy as the iphone at this moment in time).

Good point. There's no background VoIP support in Mango for receiving calls in the background. But they could just let Skype use private APIs and push it to the market as a special case since they own it now.

Hey guys, has anyone here had any luck unlocking their HTC Surround?

One of my friends at work attended a UK Windows Phone 7 development camp and won a free phone in a prize draw there. The phone arrived today and it's a HTC Surround locked to AT&T. That's real useful here in the UK as you can imagine.

Also I think it's a shame MS UK only seem to be giving out that device as it's hardly the best one to be selling people on WP7 with.
 
AllThingsD is reporting that Microsoft is replacing Andy Lees as head of its Windows Phone division. It looks like Terry Myerson, who has headed up engineering efforts for the business group will take over many of Lees' responsibilities, though he wont be inheriting his title... at least not just yet.

Never liked Lees, so that's a good thing, I guess. I'd like to see Belfiore as his successor, but I'm not sure if he's up to that task. Someone from the engineering side might be a good choice, yeah. They should do the same with Ballmer ...
 
There is definitely something up with the Titan's data speeds. Certainly gets smoked by the Focus S when I put them head to head. We had an issue where my co-worker's Youtube videos would not buffer (either in the browser or the HTC app), and mine did without a hitch. It was weird, and a restart actually fixed it for him, although there was more buffering on his phone in HQ. My Focus S pretty much doesn't buffer after it starts playing.

Could try contacting a windows phone representative via twitter or go to xda and look there, I think most people there used a pay unlock service though.

Probably, though an id3 tag editor would also work, you may want to check the band tag as well as that's played havoc in my collection.

Meh, I give up. It's not a huge deal, I just cannot get them into the same grouping. I've tried changing everything, it just won't change on the phone. I guess that's the last time I buy anything from the Zune Marketplace. Seems like stuff is released earlier on iTunes and I won't run into any problems when I buy from there. Thanks for trying, though.

I've had that it's frustrating as hell, in the end I just used the Zune software to group them all, but that's obviously not an option for you.

I'd tweet @zunesupport though telling them the fault they may sort it their end

Thanks, I tweeted at them. Curious to see what they say. There are 2 PCs in my house as well, but that's just overkill trying to change something small.
