It's impossible for the OS to stand on it's own. Even if Windows Phone is a real competitor to Android and iOS, it's ignored by people juzzing over iOS' 700.000 apps and make the WP has no apps saying equivalent to PS3 has no games, in 2012.

No matter how good Windows Phone will be or is, it will need exposure like this.
