Seeing Tomaru Sawagoe in 30 different places tells you all you need to know. Though is he having children with his own descendants in the right part of that tree?

He is. Not sure how much of what I read about him is true, but at the least I do know that several of the games
have characters pregnant before they even get in kindergarten, so that explains how he's able to get kids... with kids so many generations down the line...

Multiple generations of incest with
kindergarteners
? Wow, this makes the anime seem mild.

It sounds like a Greek tragedy with
Mankoto's dad
taking the place of Zeus.

No Chiaki Omigawa? Looks like AO Wins.
I'm kidding of course... or am I? Buhahaha

Cast looks solid though, for sure.

What the hell do you have to
transform into in order to seduce a five-year-old?

Thanks for linking that Utena podcast yesterday, Jexhius. It was an interesting listen. Is the Penguindrum half worth checking out? I held off on that until I got around to watching that show.

I just finished up the Penguindrum segment yesterday. Surprisingly, considering the show has only just finished airing, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's kind of listenable.

The main problem is they'll just discuss some facet of the show and then come up with a brand new theory right there on the spot without really providing any evidence to back it up - because they're separated from the text. With Utena everyone had seen that enough times and read enough about it to make pretty insightful comments that were actually supported by the show itself.

Also, they dismiss any possible criticism of the show out of hand as 'people who don't get it'. It's still a good segment though.

The Light of El Cantare
Does Tomaru ever actually age? Because, much like any good work that involves finding a secret to immortality, it looks like the one very apparent method to attaining eternal youth in the School Days franchise is too horrific to justify actually going through with.

Sorry to tell you this about Makoto in one of the games, but
he fucks Kotonoha's imouto twice. The first time is semi-rape, the second time is consensual, but Kotonoha hits him over the head with a shovel when she stumbles upon them in the act.

Now maybe you'll all think twice before you recommend School Days to someone!

Why? Now we can mind fuck them even more by posting about this stuff when they finish!

AnimeGAF, as a man with no PS2 capability, should I watch Persona 4 Animation, or wait for Persona 4 Golden (VITA)?

As someone who didn't play the game, I found the first few episodes to be pretty awful. The show isn't good, so all the fanservice really won't appeal to anyone other than those who played the game. It's basically just a super lazy game adaption, so its probably not a good idea to spoil the story for yourself with what is presumably a much inferior experience compared to playing the actual game.

Gankutsuou 1 - 4

I disliked the art style at first, but it quickly grew on me.

Prior to watching, my only experience with Monte Cristo was the 2002 movie. From the first four episodes, the anime seems quite different so far. Perhaps it's more faithful to the books? Either way I really like the futuristic take on Monte Cristo and i'm enjoying it so far.

The art is too extravagant at times but it fits the world pretty well.

Definitely stick it out for Golden. Arguably, you're actually in an enviable position as that will, in all likeliness, be the definitive version of the game--extra scenarios and all. The show is for those who've already played and enjoyed the game. Pure fanservice.

The 2002 movie is not a faithful adaptation in the least. The first three episodes of Gankutsuou in particular follow the book quite closely from the point they pick up at.
