I'll hold off probably during summer. Except the aired Derrida and the Hug Precure series, Boogiepop, Tezuka's manga, Jojo 5 and Gridman will be on the list and after autumn 19 hopefully the new series by Ikuhara and M.Iso of Dennou Coil.

I am sad to see Aobuta (Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai) ending next week I think?. Its definitely my favorite from the current fall season. Time has gone by too fast.

Mob Psycho and Shield Hero for sure. Boogiepop and Dororo, maybe. Pry gonna just read the Neverland manga at some point.

Only watching Mob Psycho for sure.

Reading Promised Neverland & the anime is on a Noitamina slot which is... Unusual. It'll end around chapter 39 or so of the manga.

Mob Psycho will never not be good. Let's see what else is of interest...

Promised Neverland is very good until it gets awful-ish. Well, fine and then awful.
Kerimukusa has a good poster?

And uh... that's it. I'll wait a few weeks into it to find the hidden gems.

Great OT! Mega hyped for Mob 2, but seems like another slow season otherwise. I'm running out of chinese anime to watch!

I normally don't watch anything until the whole season is finished so I can binge but Mob Psycho I will follow. Boogiepop seems interesting especially cause I like madhouse.

Cool OT, thx.
Only must watch for me this season is Mob Psycho (and Jojo which is ongoing). The Psycho Pass and Code Geass movies also look cool but I'm guessing we will have to wait for a bluray release to watch them?

Will also check out a chapter or 2 of Promised Neverland just to see how it is in motion. I'm currently following the manga but IMO it has gotten a lot less interesting in the past few months (still fun enough to continue reading)

Fairy Tail's artstyle is very keen to the eyes. Other than it's primary influence, what is worth giving it a shot?

- "I'll show you my true power"
- "No I'LL show you my true power"
- Main characters gets his ass kicked
- Main character procedes to monologue for half an hour about friendship and the power of those who defend their friend and how they are like a family and how he is fighting not for himself but to protect his friends
- Main character gets unexplained friendship infused power up and wins.

That's basically Fairy Tail. Every single fight is the same.
It has some fun characters and cool music though

Finished the first 13 episodes of Baki and I do not know if i liked it or not. These people seemed very weak and only caused trouble because of them cheating all the fucking time. Also baki himself and no real time to show so far. It was utterlyridiculous for sure but I do not think these enemies are pretty good.

Fairy Tail is just a stripper getting beaten alot before it summons a stripper outfit to win yes.

Oh and there are boys in there or something.

And the boys also strip. I've unfortunately watched like 170 something episodes of Fairy Tail.

This is pretty bullshit especially when this show is liked by boys and girls because of the fanservice for both.

Fairy tail is standard shounen with incredible music IMO

Well yes, if I liked boys I'd worded that differently.

Did the manga continue past where the anime ended? I thought that was the conclusion of the series lol
its way past and i think it is not even over yet in the manga. they finished a huge match a month or so ago but i do not know where it is going

I do not like anime
? Quite a good variety of shows, and artstyles. Anime is basically a medium for telling stories, and they are quite diverse.

So unless you have issues with stories being told through some form of animation(and some modern anime even use computer animation), it would seem you've not given it enough of a chance.

Like with everything proper search should help as quality variation is massive, and many perhaps most won't be to your liking.

Where can I stream Goblin Slayer?
I watched it on crunchyroll, I think you might also be able to see it on vrv.

I just finished watching this. It was a surprising treat for me because it's not the type of show that I generally watch but I enjoyed it immensely. Not gonna lie, there were definitely tears at the end.

I'm about halfway through it, definitely really good! Reminds me of Oregairu. I'll probably finish it tonight...

SSSS Heisman stuck the landing. Great stuff.
Golden Kamuy was my top show this year, missing it already and will no doubt start on the manga. Looking forward to a season 3 in the future.
Run With The Wind is a very close second to GK, can't wait to catch up with it after its thee week break.

Gravity is a myth, the Earth SUCKS!
I just want to say that Baki on Netflix was a dumpster fire. The manga could very well be awful, I'm honestly unfamiliar with it so maybe it's not Netflix's fault *shrug*, but I felt like the season that's currently available was lacking in almost every way possible.
Yujiro was completely missing, Baki and all the other top fighters power levels were reset down to total bitch levels and the plot and story telling were weak as hell. If these super mega bad asses existed, Yujiro would have fought and killed them all already. Fighting badasses is what that guy lives for. Also, the whole season all we saw of Baki was him getting whooped on and being super awkward with a girl. Just complete awfulness.

The first episode of Tate no Yuusha is supposed to air January 9, though it had a pre-air on AbemaTV. I will say that I'm pleasantly surprised that the pacing is steady as opposed to skimming over much of the lore. The episode is 45 minutes long (with no OP or ED). The animation quality is really good, so far. There is also a good variety of color palettes and music. Overall, the adaptation has left a good first impression.

Shouta

Tate no Yuusha/Shield Hero is pretty well-developed, at least from the manga, so it's not a surprise the adaptation turned out pretty well. I'll need to check out the ep or maybe I'll wait until the official airing.

Nanatsu no Taizai Movie: Tenkuu no Torawarebito
This was the typical shonen movie in that it's mainly a celebration of the heroes' quirks and abilities. The villain's lackeys are one-note, have poor character design and are really just a pretext for the titular Sins to showcase their moves. But the movie is still pretty fun. What I really liked was listening to Yoshikage Kira's voice actor in the role of the villain and Mama (a giant green pig) of all characters being OP and badass.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind 13
Araki really likes to have his characters one-up each other with one-liners, they are as invested in the verbal exchanges as the fight itself. But Goddamn what a fight this was. I enjoyed seeing Moody Blues being used again though I wonder why Abacchio didn't simply replay what happened to Fugo before he disappeared. The way his disdain towards Giorno is shown to stem from his backstory is really neat imo. I really liked how Abacchio was fleshed out and I hope his future interactions with Giorno will reflect what happened in this fight.

I really need to check out Tate no Yuusha btw.

Recently, the official Twitter page for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure confirmed season five will delay its next episode. Rather than airing on January 4, episode 14 of Golden Wind will be released on January 11.

In order to accommodate the schedule, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will be airing a different treat for fans on January 4. A special recap episode will air, bringing fans up to speed for what is awaiting them the next week when the show returns in earnest.

The actual show isn't airing until June, but "Episode 0" of Lord El Melloi II Case Files is up on CR. And it's way, way better than I think anyone might have expected. I didn't know anything about Case Files going in and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'll watch Kaguya-sama: Love is War
Like most rom-coms I predict it will be good for 12-24 episodes and then start repeating itself ad nauseaum at which point I will drop it.

After the Monogatari series finished I just haven't really felt like watching any anime.

I even tried rewatching Gurren Lagann and only made it 6 episodes in.

I bought quite a few Bluerays this Christmas, (screw streaming and torrent HD rips) and have some series queued. I am more interested in Lupin III part 4 (first and last Lupin series I'll watch), Yuri!!! On Ice and Ranja the Robbers Daughter, an underrated series by Ghibili).

I have a feeling 2019 is going to feel kinda light after we got so spoiled with quality anime in 2018. Some big tent pole series returning, but after that not much has peaked my curiosity just yet.

Yeah, 2018 was a pretty good year. Speaking as an older watcher of anime, it was nice to have plenty of shows that were a bit more "mature"...Banana Fish, Run With The Wind, Golden Kamuy, certainly made for a refreshing change from the usual high school and teen-fantasy based shows.

I havent really spotted anything that fires me up as much from what I have seen of the 2019 shows on their way.

We'll see.
