Kemonozume - 3 "A Weary New Moon's Night"
Wow. What an incredible episode.
Seriously, I was captivated from beginning to end. First off, this episode looked
good. As being Toshiyuka and Yuka's "road episode", it darted around from location to location as they haphazardly try to enjoy the moment while also discover what they should be doing. In retrospect, there's no real annunciation to their next location (sans the house), they just end up in these places, but it doesn't feel forced. I feel this is a really telling element of a good director. Having all these memorable set pieces (thanks to the tremendous art and lighting) I think is what made this episode such a winner.
As for the direction the plot is actually taking, it's a pretty natural progression, but while the scenario exists in a very believable manner, it still manages to push forward the charm that makes it unique. It's quite an impressive balance. I'm really enjoying the chemistry between the couple, too.
I'll say it again. I wonder if this momentum can be kept up...
Also, some great unexpected comedy
(They're not communicating effectively)
