Geneijin actually turned me against Sawano :lol Some of his stuff is okay, but I'm not partial to Guilty Crown's OST. Too many tracks sound like something out of a standard Hollywood action blockbuster. Basara and AoEx have some good stuff, if memory serves.

If this show is planning on being a number of vignettes centered around the concept of love it is going to quickly become more and more uninteresting. The build up to something greater is pretty insubstantial and doesn't seem to be going anywhere either.

I think I might drop this. It's reached the boring and aimless stage before it's really earned it. You have to sell me on the premise and characters before you can pull that off, and this show is completely unengaging so far. Chuubi may have been shit, but at least it felt like was going somewhere.

Yeah, I've been listening to this one for a stupid amount of time lately.
Wow. I haven't even watched episode 3 yet and yall are making me just want to drop it. And this is what... 2-cour? Fuck me.
There has been a somewhat obscured plot with the bird since the first episode, but I don't find any of that stuff interesting and it rarely crops up. So far each episode has its own plot to the point where they are almost self-contained. They might as well be filler though.
I liked episode three the best. At least watch that before you decide.

The anime is a marketing vehicle for a manga that exists only as a marketing vehicle for the main entry in the franchise. lol
The only thing you really need to know about this version of the franchise is who the Achiga girls are. They're going to save Saki's sister for the final, surely, and the other teams are just the sad losers that quickly get forgotten.
I would have bought the hell out of Full Moon O Sagashite but Viz murdered it after 7 volumes
Chihayafuru is just going to fail if it releases here because everyone just wants more goddamned fucking DBZ and Bleach. fuck the mainstream anime fan.

Tha Tamako artwork is gorgeous. I don't think many can nitpick that aspect of it.
I thought we already agree this isn't good sign for KyoAni anime? What wrong with enjoying anime about nothing but a life in shopping market anyway. That's my expectatio.
I kind of thought the most recent episode wasn't as impressive. I dunno, even with the seasons changing rapidly and holidays always popping up I am already finding the marketplace to be a bit drab.
I don't think there's anything inherently wrong, however, I feel that there are a number of people who are extremely turned off by it.

K-On at least had some momentum early on, Tamako Market's launching point feels like where K-On was at mid season 2. And I liked K-On, so this isn't coming from some sort of fundamental objection to that type of show.

That would work if the characters were compelling enough to carry the show. The ones in Tamako Market are not.
Indifference doesn't really qualify as "extremely turned off". I find it hard to imagine anyone having charged negative reactions to Tamako Market.
Well its just feel repeated complain to me but oh well.
Everything I can find lists it for 12 episodes so I doubt it.
Just caught the results list. Not bad. Not bad at all. Good mix of genres, no noticeably terrible shows. Hunter x Hunter was robbed, but I expected that and have already come to terms.
As for my anime watching, it's still been a crap ton of Gintama. That show just keeps getting better. It's kind of insane. I'm just over 1/2 way through the 3rd season. There's still a couple things I'd like to see changed. I want more episodic thing. I love arcs, but they're far more effective with breaks in between. Where I'm at, it's been one 3 or 4 episode arc after another with only 1 or 2 episodes in between. Another thing, I'd like to see a few more serious moments and more moments of Gin being badass. Still, it's an amazing thing to watch and I'm adoring every second of it.

That makes sense, especially given how quickly they're mowing through the months. It being two-cour seems like it'd throw off the pacing immensely.
I don't care HOW they release it, just release it.
