Awww, maaaaaan. When the principal said we have lost friends I got all choked up. I'm impressed by how emotional and how good a job making you care about its characters this show did in the mere 6 episodes it had. It really convinces me that most mecha shows simply do not need these bloated 50 episodes to achieve that goal.
So now that I've finished War in the Pocket, where do I go?

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 27 - Day of Sagittarius
Possible one of the top three episodes of the anime. The episode was just so good even the animation stuff they did of characters in game, typical Kyon Koizumi conversation in the clubroom, what was wagered and the method of play. Was so proud of all of the SOS members. Im going to miss this so much once I finish the last episode and then that long movie. Are there really no plans to continue this franchise? I did get the Kyon Koizumi manga thing, though.

What sort of stuff do you like? It's a bit weird to just jump in and buy stuff you haven't seen, as well. The crap kind of builds after a while.
I'm stuck at the suggestions for unlicensed anime part because I'm not sure which anime have been licensed by Sentai/Funimation/etc. for physical release and which have only been licensed for streaming on Crunchyroll/Funi/Hulu/etc. Is there a site that keeps track of this?

What are you into? I am afraid to recommend something that might turn you away from the medium.
If you like Action, the Darker than Black is good way to start, I would really recommend Baccano for great characterisation. Toradora if you want some light heart fun.
Viz wont support something that doesnt make money. Hyouka is out.
I used to love DBZ and adore Studio Ghibli films. I'm open to anything really. Perhaps some dark sci-fi kinda stuff or some nice fantasy. idk, just acclaimed anime ^^

Yeah, the ending for 0080 always hits me where it hurts. Such a fantastic work.
0083 is next, but you could just skip that because nobody likes it and move on to Zeta. (Disclaimer: There might be some people who like 0083)

Well that question makes it seem as if they are looking into release LE sets again (they did do that for the first three Bleach boxsets back a long time ago and had that bonus plush or something for some Naruto sets)
12.5 terrible episodes with half of episode 10 being awesome. Guess 13 all told.
I ended up keeping it recent and asked for Hyouka, Chihayafuru, Jojo, Smile, and Hells, as insanely unrealistic as some of those are. When asked why I wanted Viz to release these, I just said "I doubt that most of these fit your company profile, I'm just being honest about what I want" :lol
