Winter-Spring 2014 Anime |OT3| People incapable of guilt usually do have a good time

I guess it depends on what you consider a harem. If you consider a cast which is disproportionately female a harem, then it's a harem.

As someone who has read the manga I can assure people that at least as of right now it has harem-like qualities but it's not a harem. A harem, at least in my honest opinion, implies that every single female character wants to be with him and the show will largely focus on him having scenes with at least one of the female characters every once and again and/or involves them fighting over him. It focuses on the relationships of the females with the mc.

It has harem-like qualities in the sense that yes there are a couple of women attracted to him but it hasn't focused whatsoever on that aspect and instead focuses on Gary Stu Batman being unstoppable in science and war with the occasional incest-y subtext. I know it's hard to tell people to ignore the incesty stuff when I'm such a huge advocate of anti-pandering. But onii-sama's gary stu levels are hilariously addictive.

Regarding JoJos on Crunchy, does it have the whole thing from ep 1 of the first season? Looked like it only had... I dunno, 12 or 13 episodes then it started from Stardust Crusaders.

it has the episodes that make up phantom blood so far, next week it will get battle tendency, i believe

They uploaded part one with part two coming next week.

Also does anyone know if it's using the english subs that came with the JP BD'S?

War would break loose, now would you want that.

Yes

Either ways I wonder when that 50 First Dates anime is supposed to air. I'm really looking forward to it. The only thing that could crush me right now is if it's one of those shorter animes. Just like Pupa broke my heart with its 1 minute episodes.

As to the discussion on Wolf's Rain and the ending, I hereby declare that if you weren't crying nonstop with those last few episodes you are heartless. The ending isn't perfect but it fits with the story.

Ah. I see. Not nice!

Really?

*looks at gif again*

Really? Also why is their an egg on her head?

It's her hairclip. And yes, the Mongatari series is great, it just has some...unique...humor.

Oh, and the protag gets a girlfriend in, like, the second episode, so it has that going for it.

Seeing firehawk had scrubbed through a bunch of terrible shows. Unsure if he won't scrub through Jojo because he's being difficult or simply sparing us having him lump it in with the other trash!

If I remember correctly, the manga doesn't even come close to exposing how much of a Gary Stu Batman Tatsuya is. Wonzo has posted some details about it in the thread before though, lol.

Dead

well not really...yet
Wolf's Rain is probably the best ending in a BONES original series. RahXephon is pretty great too. The ending isn't as well executed as Wolf's Rain, but it's still probably my second favorite anime series ever. Eureka Seven has a pretty great ending too. Good thing they never made a sequel or a movie or anything like that. Whew.

Star Driver's ending isn't awful, but it's just not particularly memorable, other than all the amazing mecha animation in the final episode.
dat Bones holy trinity

One-Week Friends is a half-hour length show, as confirmed by the time slot it airs in.

Nisekoi 13

Is this what I have to look forward to for the rest of the series?

Like, can the main character just pick Tsugumi already and get on with it.

Damn I'm curious and disappointed now that I haven't fully experience that Tatsuya power levels. Apparently I'm a fool because the manga isn't even his ultimate form.

This right here brings a smile to my heart. No more heart-breaking this season as this was another one of the shows I was looking forward to the most. Though that other Bones show with the BLECH character designs and the coffin albino eyebrows girl has me curious to see if the plot and action make up for the ugly designs.

Madoka won't
accept Homura's love for long. Have they talked about sequels at all? They left a pretty obvious opening for one with the ending dialogue about how Madoka might become her enemy and with Madoka beginning to realize that something about that reality was wrong. It'll be interesting to see what the Incubators do when faced with a God that is actively seeking to destroy them.
.

I disagree.

First the incubators
aren't destroyed , she could easily do that when she had power to change things , she just in a position to manage them. She is a big obstacle in their way for doing nonsense because as it stand they are still collecting energy , just not the big chunk of energy when a magical girl turn into a witch. The point wasn't to destroy them , just to keep them from doing more damage than necessary.

The point that madoka would become her ennemyis just a natural reaction considering how opposite they are now i don't think it's implied in any way that they must become ennemies, just that now they will since they are both gods doing opposite things.

Finally , as it stand i'm opposed to more stuff from this franchise. i think that the story they needed to tell is done , no need to add anything.

You all are crazy, wincest is best. Having had no sisters means I can say this without a hint of guilt or shame!

That aside Mahouka sounds kinda bleh but eh, I'll give it a shot.

Also Nisekoi is good, MangaGAF is just tsundere for it.

Ep1-9 is the complete first part. That's Phantom Blood. It's all up right now. They're putting up ep10-26 when the second episode of Stardust Crusaders go up, and that'll be all of Battle Tendency.

Koi Kaze looks very different from the gif you posted.

I liked that I'll admit. Its a surprisingly decent portrayal.

Though really the cases of incest in anime I've seen is pretty small. The only other one that really springs to mind I guess is kiss x sis. Generally its just one sided romantic feelings in my experience.

Nah, you're not a fool because you're right about Tatsuya lol. I can't find wonzo's post so I can't link to it. :(

Now that I think about it, I'm probably wrong when I say that Mahouka isn't a harem.

Lmao, agreed! I mentally separate anime incest from real incest so much though (like a lot of things about anime). :V

Awesome, tankyou.

Guess tommorrow it's time to get JoJo'd

D Frag Episode 1

This shows MC has the voice actor of Oga Tatsumi from Beezlebub, automatically a plus in my book. This anime is really hilarious and I really love the fire element technique so funny.

Is it worth it to rewatch the BD versions of JoJo on Crunchyroll for parts 1 and 2? They didn't change much except some gore censoring and fixing art, right?

The first episode is also the weakest. It gets better if you like the first episode.

Corvo has flashbacks about dick mouths every night after being reminded that this exists..

And that guy who was vomited out of that demon who raped him, kissed his face off and then swallowed him whole. And he was half digested and still alive.

Oh God that thing. Oh God.

Well the Blue Exorcist Limited Edition was basically 10 dollars less and that was a domestic release so I guess it's completely what I expected price wise.

At least there appears to be some good bonus material to match the price. I really haven't given much thought to Aniplex prices, as I have yet to purchase a Aniplex USA product, but that will change when VVV and Kizumonogatari are released on Blu-ray. I have imported a few BDs boxes in the past few months so I understand wanting to have an affordable price for the content.
