That Gopher video looked so good.
My 770 is going to weep.

Oh! You upgraded? To what?
I did something terribly irresponsible.
It glows green.
Interesting that the other video has HairWorks running at 60 FPS ultra and it doesn't seem to have a massive effect on framerate at all? Same rig. Surely they werent different builds? Seems odd.

Did past Witcher games have areas that were more fantastical/magical or was it all open fields, castles and pig farmers?
I appreciate the Game of Thrones style grounded nature, but I also really like some of the more fantasy based stuff.
From Red?
Titan X?!
From Red?
The fact that he has 12GB of VRAM.... that's another story![]()
Thank you for giving our interview some GAF love![]()
Nope. None of them have hairworks enabled. What you are seeing is their in-house hair physics, which is identical to Gopher's video.
Everyone hate mages.
Skyrim mods need dat VRAM.
Hopefully it gets good amount of listens, noticed link in retweet from Wither's twitter account.
Is that a fact or an opinion? Because if that's so then why disclose the PC version as well aside from showing off nvidia hairworks or other proprietary graphical or physics technology?
Last I checked the game had gone gold or was that only the PC version?
So that console owners can make informed decision about preordering the game. Most sane console owners know that it won't look as good as PC version on the highest settings (as they are shown off atm).
I am still confused about why is this even a debate? What other companies don't release games on all three platforms and lock ALL footage down to the PC version at present? I don't remember TW "downgrade" threads thus far have had anything to do with console versions or any other "downgrade" threads comparing the console version to PC version. Rather the assertions are based in chronology.
It sounds like someone should call all companies that develop games for all the platforms and tell them to show off the game that is only the highest settings on PC and then sell that as representative of how the game will actually look for everyone who buys the game (because that has gone over so well in the past).
The implication that some here are defending the idea of misrepresentation should CDPR (who are undoubtedly the creator of my favourite WRPG- yea, I have TW2 on 360) actually do it, is just sad.
Stuttering has nothing to do with fps. Stuttering is a freeze that is based on a) memory lagging or getting filled in fast succession or b) clockspeed of the GPU suddently dropping to zero because of some optimization issue, driver issue or faulty processor.
The game had obvious stutters while staying above 60fps, mainly when walking from terrain to water, which was mentioned to be fixed now.
I hope much of The Witcher 2 cast make an appearance. I want to see Iorveth and Roache in the new engine.
Hopefully I'll be able to run hairworks. It's an oddly cool feature.
Ah looking again looks like this is indeed the case. The in house hair physics are better than expected..
Interested to see the effect in action then, I know several sites played with hairworks enable and also reported 60FPS on a 980 rig.
Hopefully they will have it further optimized at launch.

Yeah there are at least 3 or 4 settings that they haven't cranked up all the way up.
Don't forget Ves, she needs to make appearance.. for reasons.

These angry joe videos....... Are these guys high as fuck? Ol boy can barely play the game and the jokes![]()
Is that you assuming or did someone state it? Because Gopher outright says every setting for him was ultra, bar one: hairworks.
On our return we want equal continue playing, but Miles sends us first in the graphics options: "Now we can show the maximum graphic detail that is the first time" So we turn grass density and texture, water and terrain details are all based on 'Ultra' stroke!. Because in our face-PC (Intel i7-4790, 16GB RAM) also a Geforce GTX 980 slaves, we also select the option "Nvidia Hair Works". The result of our skin from the shoes!
**Note this is NOT Final Build! There are a few bugs here and there that have since been addressed. (Loading, Water, Ground Textures, Boat movement, etc)
Geralt was so ugly in Witcher 1, so I'll probably avoid that hairstyle like the plagueThere will be an in-game barber, just like in Witcher 2. The real question is: will Geralt's Witcher 1 hairstyle be available? It had better be!
From gamestar:
The lazy gamer preview of the one's version sounds amazing. Everyone is going to be getting a great game, hopefully, regardless of what platform they are getting it on.
The hype. It's real.

That was my exact thought as I was watching it. I suspect bowls were smoked immediately prior to footage.
Similar, but with "books" and "scrolls" instead of a bestiary. Was this in other witcher games? I like how you can scout the enemies and figure out weaknesses instead of just banging your head against a wall trying to kill something powerful.
It was mentioned in the AngryJoe video (when he first jumped into a lake)Do you have a link?
Includes everything (tile size in the editor). Mountains, water etc.Are we sure they're not counting water in there ? From that map video, it doesn't look that big. We will see.
I guess this doesn't have uber sampling either?
Also, how was it with the older witcher games? Were there inf files that can allow us to crank things up even further, like draw distance? Want to eliminate as much pop-in as possible.
Switching from Red to Green is not irresponsible.
The fact that he has 12GB of VRAM.... that's another story![]()
Haha, welcome aboard! It's the last card you'll ever need before Pascal Titan.![]()
Huh? Stuttering can occur for several reasons, but it most definitely does occur, no matter what, if you drop below your display's refresh rate. This occurs with every game 100% of the time, every time you drop below that refresh rate, whether you are using triple buffering, double buffering, no vsync or whatever. The only exception, of course, is if you are using a gsync monitor, which is what I own.
The fact that we have seen perfectly smooth footage of The Witcher 3 leads me to believe that the stuttering in some footage is due to settings and the hardware being used. Where are the FPS counters showing us it was stuttering while running above 60fps. I haven't seen it.
Yeah, there were. Also, mods, like eatchildren's tweaks, upped teh grass rendering distance, shadow rendering distance, etc
