With Cyberpunk 2 entering pre-production, what improvements do you want to see?

Are they planning to have actual RPG elements in their RPG game? That's all I'm concerned about, CP2077 was such a let down and CDPR lost all the good will they had (for me).
And no, "fixing your game years later is not an excuse, especially when it's still broken in it's core and is still missing quite a few features that were promised.

I wanted to be able to look like this

Survival mode hopefully.

All these food, drinks and consumable are just flavor text. Drugs with no side effects. Having your own apartment to sleep in take showers and such are just fluff.

I understand it can be complicated for mainstream but just do it as a difficulty setting like in Bethesda/Obsidian games.

Apply debuffs and to combat skills from food and drinks as well as sleep. Apply debuffs to social stats with no hygiene and drugs.

At some point, you're gonna be swimming in money anyway so something to make the pace slower so economy doesn't get fucked is nice. consumable, addiction cures, renting places with an actual cost, as well as others more is just the right type of stuff that can be immersive and still have impact on gameplay.

Stat checks hopefully come back as well. More emphasis as well as they're very easy to pass. Instead of the useless life choice which is only really apparent in the early stages of the game.

Is it just me, or does anyone feel like there weren't enough genital customization options in the character creator? The Metacritic score could have been so much higher...

Firstly, lets have a fully completed game without bugs and such shit at launch. I'm not willing to be a beta tester for these fucking clowns.

Secondly, stop catering to a crowd who will NEVER buy this game.

a proper third person would be good. Also, the game seemed to really be lacking in setpiece action sequences like fighting against the robots at the end of act1.

I'd like to just have more RPG elements that offer more approaches to how you deal with situations. Cyberpunk 2077 is more of an action game, where combat is the dominant way to play the game, and every other system is secondary rather than a competing option.

Otherwise just more interactivity with the world itself, and like Stellar Blade have good performance as an Unreal Engine game.

They should focus on improving Night City to feel more alive and more interactive. It's probably my biggest disappointment with the first game, not counting the performance issues at launch.

a finished game on release would be a good start.
Besides that, world interactivity.
They´ve already got the choreographie and writing part down to a T, now a little more interactive sandbox and I´d be happy.

With how incompetent this team is, we are at the point of literally asking for the shit that was suppose to actually be in the first game, in the second game...

I don't know if this team is good enough to even provide the thing they are talking about as they struggle with not only basic features, dated old features that make zero sense to be waiting on or patched years later etc

So I remain pessimistic as they need to prove they can even do any of this before I even remotely give a shit. So the first thing I'd would want to see is them STFU and showing us the game less then 1 year or so out...I don't buy that how they put out the first game was some accident as they are doing the same shit here, announcing it years in advance to build hype of some shit they can't do, make a series of excuses after launch of why they scammed people, refunds and then years of patches to attempt to reach what they claimed years prior....

Maybe they should just focus on making a functional game based on what the team really can do vs lying about it or just put it in early access or something.

With how much they've lied in the past, there is no way this is a day 1 for me (unless they literally gave the public an actual demo of the working game to prove those features exist)

They lost that benefit of the doubt a long time ago. They are not Rockstar or Naughty Dog

I'd like to see some parkour, but smooth and not some janky gimmick parkour. I'm not mad it wasn't in the game because they "promised it and lied!" Because it was just scrapped and publicly stated as such. I'd just like to see it in a future game.

I'd like to see netrunning be a bit more involved as well. It got better with the 1.5 and 2.0 update, but at launch it was largely just a pause and apply an instant or DOT damage ability. I'd like them to expand upon what they did to improve it.

Do not kill the protagonist and let me continue to play the game after beating the main story.

And everybody seems to love the Phantom Liberty DLC. I thought it was too scripted and you could not take down a robot when your character was max level hacker.

I feel like a lot of that made more sense when it was going to be an RPG before they changed it to be this action adventure thing.

You don't have a lot you can do with netrunning and I believe the limited functions and features in the game have that opportunity lost.

Looking at Watchdogs, in order to have such a feature make sense, the world must actually support those elements to then abuse them via hacking or um "netrunning". Using Watchdogs as an example, you can change stop lights, hack ATMs, black out the city, fuck up the train system and all sorts of shit, but to make such an element make sense, the world must exist to be manipulated and altered in the first place.

So I don't disagree with you here, we have 3 games by Ubisoft that show how that can be done as clearly, someone has already did a lot of that, if CDPR can do it themselves to the same degree remains to be seen.

I don't think I'm interested. There was too much wrong with the first game, plus it was nothing even close to what was promised.

I don't think they can get it right.

Cyberpunk 2 needs environment variety, missions back in dog town and a good story. The toughest part of a sequel is trying to be more special than the first. I thought the gun shooting parts could be faster, could they get coop involved? Cyberpunk 2 will be great regardless of little changes.

Make the world feel alive.

Even when it's cranked on PC and there's a lot going on the whole thing somehow feels lifeless.

Agreed. Its shame too, the game looks amazing on PS5, PC etc, but looking good is pointless if the game is the void of any life based on so much limited interactivity.

So they need to take notes from Rockstar, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Sony etc on how to make those worlds have more function, features, interactivity etc to give it more meaning. I hated playing that game cause it hurt to see such a detailed world so misused and so many lost opportunities.

It felt like you were playing this empty shell.

We are hype for GTAVI because what we see not only looks good, but the footage they are showing, we trust will have playable activities to fully flesh out that world based on a strong history of trust with the developer, so when they show that speedboat or show the characters robbing a store, we all know you can do that, cause Rockstar has that history

CP2077-2 first trailer must make clear what is even in the game or not to get people hype as many of us will have that initial doubt. So they have to do much more to get people on board then a trusted team like Rockstar or something for us to believe that world is better or more functional then before etc

Might just be me, but I found all the stuff with skills, body enhancements, weapon upgrades, etc. to be both confusing and superfluous. I would go 10-15 hours without remembering I could even visit shops or ripper docs, then I would go there and blow all my accumulated funds on like one or two things and move on.

As a big fan of cdpr games:
Dont release game too early, cp2077 is way better game after patches/expack compared to its launch/first few months, now we all know game was released at least full year too early, probably even 2 years.
2nd and very obvious thing- we really want an option for 3rd person view, i know of many players who imediately scratched the game coz of fpp view only, myself included- i had to convince myself/give game 2nd and 3rd chance and i still am of opinion 3rd party view, as an option should be done.
