Would 60 million lifetime domestic be good? Feel like that's weak considering the marketing.
Chill dude he cited one incident. I also have trouble believing those directors when the Bros have been given the biggest in the franchise and Waikiki has his movie coming up.

I have no trouble believing directors saying whatever they say. Creative freedom isn't some quantity which everyone perceives in the same way. Marvel certainly lets directors do what they want to do and contribute in their own unique ways, but they also have certain requirements and constrains. It's give and take. The requirements and constrains Marvel has would affect different directors in different ways, for some it's no big deal and something they already expect, or it aligns with their preferences anyway. For others it might be a bridge too far when it comes to compromise. That's all there is to it.
So WW may have a sub 50% drop this weekend. If so then women are helping this movie big time.
Didn't IM3 have major problems behind the scenes like Disney/Marvel not wanting to have a female main villain like the original Extremis comic?
? The argument of the people who "eat up" Marvel PR is that its still definitly a Shane Black movie and it isYes.
It is sad how quickly people eat up (Marvel) PR.

Of course. Its a Cinematic Universe that leads to a certain conclusion.Absolutely. That doesn't mean that Marvel doesn't have enormous influence on the actual product. They decide what they want and they will step in when they feel like you do something problematic.

No, And I think its a great thing that Ike and his friends from the creative consule are gone.Do we blame the directors for the horrendous lack of diversity in MCU?

Said this a couple of times. So I am not the guy who eats up the PR.

Directors do not get to do whatever they want.
Time will tell.
Look at the slate, how the budgets rised, how the movies suddenly look far better and how much bigger acts are casted.Time will tell.

The only two Marvel directors post-Avengers who seem to have noticeably gotten a raw deal were Alan Taylor and Peyton Reed. Alan Taylor because I dunno I guess Thor 2 was just a black hole of creativity, while with Reed there wasn't really much he could do since he was pretty much a director-for-hire brought in to touch up the script and shoot a film that was already well into pre-production.
I agree on Taylor, but Reed?
He came in at the last minute and still made a damn solid film with some of the most creative action scenes in the genre. He aced it.
I mean, yeah, it's no Ghost in th Shell, but it still made a decent profit.
I'll know whether Ike was, as many say, the root of evil, when I see their next slate of movies.
I just meant that he didn't have a lot of creative control over it. If I remember right, he was brought in just weeks before they started shooting and any personal touches he had on the movie would have been pretty limited.
As for Alan Taylor, he then went on to make Terminator: Genesys, so... y'know I actually kinda wonder how much worse Thor 2 could have been if he was more involved with the post-production. Thor 2 was boring and uninspired, but Genesys was a straight dumpster fire.
If Feige was still reporting to Ike, we'd be getting this
Yes.

As far time telling, since the split we've gotten Marvel's most diverse movie (Dr. Strange), then Marvel's new most diverse movie (Homecoming), and the go ahead on the first lead of color, the first female led film, and the first 2 people of color as directors and the second hired female director (Patty Jenkins was first, and they even hired her to direct a movie without a female lead). There are still problems (The Ancient One), but you cannot say things have not improved post-Ike.
Forbes is going with 15.8 Fri for WW
Wasn't the restructuration announced in August 2015, i.e. long after BP/CM were announced, when Tilda Swinton had already been officially cast and long after Patty Jenkins had already come and gone?
You're really reaching here. We will see with their new slate of movies whether Feige is feige.
If Feige was still reporting to Ike, we'd be getting this
$15.8M is the official Friday estimate. Up about 72% from Thursday, which is a good increase. The actual weekend take is going to depend on Saturday's bump. However, I don't see how it misses $50M, even if Saturday's bump is on the disappointing side of things.

Game was on last night as well. Definitely think Sat and Sunday see some decent bumps.
Here's the thing, it's not that I don't think things will get better without Ike, we know from the Sony e-mails, but I'm not willing to give Marvel too much credit too quickly. Feige has said too much shit for that.
Once we know their future plans, that's when I will have a better idea.
I have that in mind when I argue that these people tell about their creative freedom, but its the same as when you do a Star Wars Movie, a DC movie or a Monsterverse movie. Have fun with making your movie in the way you want, but if you want complete control, you are at the wrong place.
It Comes at Night has a pretty hilarious RT/Cinemascore split. The film scored 86% with a 7.3 average on Rotten Tomatoes. Its cinemascore (from opening night/advance screening audiences) is a D. Cinemascore audiences didn't like the Witch either (C-)
Damn, Mummy keeps falling at RT. At 17% now.
I don't think i ever seen a movie on RT lower then 20

I love that summary:
Although it features an inexplicably committed performance from Al Pacino, Jack and Jill is impossible to recommend on any level whatsoever.
