Excuse me, this is a non-poor-shaming zone. Thank you.
I guess going to long films in the cinema over shorter ones is like buying a Sam's Club megapak of instant ramen over a sirloin steak now. When you are poor it's not even a choice!

Wolf of Wall Street is amazing. No matter how much I enjoy a long movie, I'm usually checking my watch after the 2 hour mark but that was one case where I didn't feel the need.
When things get quiet all you have to do is mention Avatar.
Get that man from the Arrow threads on this, stat! Can we just write Bobby/Bronson slash instead?
The worst thing I've seen in the past few years on social media is obsession with movie run times. Odd as fuck.
Watching The Mummy is already like being put on death row. There were actually a couple blockbusters that I walked out of thinking they should've been longer. The Mummy spent way too much time DARK UNIVERSE building and not making the titular Mummy menacing. Another 5 minutes of her doing crazy stuff might've made me like it a wee bit more
grilling balls
Yeah, Swiss is really coming out swinging today. Literally no one is safe.
He would never roast his Canadian brother.
That sounds rather painful...Movie GAF is basically grilling balls right now.
Wait why lolThis is the darkest week in MovieGAF history. May god help us all with the hot takes we are bare to witness.
I peeked at the thread and was immediately greeted by this

I now hate all of you for the next 100 minutes.
Well, that was really good!
And I see WB is confident Episode 9 is not moving to December.
That sounds rather painful...
Once you gaze into the abyss, soon the abyss gazes into you.Gotta take a breather from that Ragnarok thread, what's going on in h--
I like to think in some alternate universe instead of betting on sports results and politics Vegas bets on BO performances for blockbusters
And alternate universe bronson is banned from every casino for trying to rig the game
Well, to get my mind off the cluster that is the Thor thread, what are the projections for Atmoic Blonde, and does Gaf expect it to meet them?
I saw someone throw out a number close to $20 for the OW, which seems low as hell, but I also have no real gauge for where it's supposed to end up, either.
Marketing has been cool (That Kanye/Depeche Mode mashup worked like gangbusters on me) but I don't know if it's really hitting people hard

I imagine all big box office flops are paid out of pocket and raised by friends of the producers like on Entourage. LolHow does Valerian get that budget though?

fuck youuuuuuu
The question is: if Ep. IX does move, does WB run away from it or stay strong?
...They would totally run, right?
Of course but whats with the idea that every Star Wars movie should move to December? People act like SW wouldn't crush the buildings regardless of when it releases.
