Nope, still has to beat Passion of the Christ
The Hell?
I wasn't a fan of Solaris, but how does it get an F? Bloody audiences.
I wonder what the vibe is at Paramount HQ right now
The fact that so many other things are underperforming probably helps, admittedly.Damn. Really impressive legs. Between Homecoming, Guardians 2 and Wonder Woman Comic movies this year are putting some seriously impressive performances
A lot of people filling out application forms for Burger King.

Q: Yes, same here. So I want to ask about this whenever you are brought up, there's always a discussion about your involvement with Batman. You once expressed interest and everyone now says "oh, I would have loved to see Darren's version." Or even, "Darren's version would have been too dark for the studio." Do you still feel that way?
Darren: You know what, I think it's finally I think we were basically whatever it is 15 years too early. Because I hear the way theyre talking about the Joker movie and that's exactly that was my pitch. I was like: we're going to shoot in East Detroit and East New York. We're not building Gotham. The Batmobile I wanted to be a Lincoln Continental with two bus engines in it.
Q: Seriously?
Darren: Yeah, with two bus engines, all duct taped together. It was the duct tape MacGyver Batman. And some of my ideas got out there through other films. Like the ring with "BW", Bruce Wayne's ring making the scar was our idea and I think that was in Zack's or something. Which is fine, you write these ideas and they get out. We were all about reinventing it and trying to make it more Taxi Driver visceral. That was the whole pitch. But the toy people were like, "oh it can't be a Lincoln Continental, you have to make a Batmobile."
And I think with Chris [Nolan's] work, which was great, it was just - he hit it [out of the park]. He was able to get the darkness in, and the psychology of the character, yet he was still able to give the gizmo thing, which I wasn't ever really interested in. So, I think that's the back story. I think we were ahead of our time. And I was always like; why can't we make a more lower-budget rated-R [movie], just like in comics you have different brands but and now they're finally doing that. They're doing the spinoffs, which is great. This is an exciting time because they'll be able to take more risks and we won't be seeing the same superhero movie over and over again. You'll get things like Deadpool, which was a relief as compared to seeing the same film over and over again.

I'll apply too.I wonder what it would take for me to run Paramount? 🤔
You wouldn't see me greenlighting fucking Monster Trucks for one.
Aronofsky didn't get to do Batman. He didn't get to do Wolverine. He likes the idea of weird low budget superhero spin-offs. His girlfriend is part of the X-Men franchise.
Guys, I have interpreted the omens.
Darren Aronofsky's Gambit.
WW sits on a pretty even 50/50 domestic and foreign gross too according to boxofficemojo. Thats pretty unusual as well.
Not financially. At least they gave us mother! so Paramount did something right.
Not yet.Not financially.

I would just go crazy with Star Trek movies.
You liked Monster Trucks????????Then you'd be no fun.
You liked Monster Trucks????????
Thank you. If elected I'd start by getting Simon Pegg and Justin Lin working on a Kelvin Universe Borg movie. Then I'd start courting directors like Rian Johnson or Alex Garland and giving them $150m and 2-3 years to make whatever Star Trek movie they wanted. You're hired!
I like that it exists.
"It's a monster truck, you see. AND there's a monster IN the truck!"
Someone heard that and greenlighted a $100M+ movie. That is a very precious thing.
And that someone probably giggled at the sight of the giant robot balls in Transformers 2.Just like I did.
Holy shit. I didn't even know it went that low, haha.Mother! received Cinemascore F.
Monster Truck should have been Monster Trucks, an animated tv series pushing a toyline. It also should have come out in the 90's and aired in the timeslot after Street Sharks.
It would have a pretty great Jablonsky score, thoAnd then, in 15 years, after a 36 episode "season" spread out over 3 years on a variety of syndicated stations, it would have its rights purchased by Paramount, to become a dumb, PG-13 violent & crass version of itself with hundreds of thousands of acolytes trashing it while simultaneously putting forth their own violent & crass version of the film from their own treasured headcanon.
Can I stand up for Monster Trucks? Everyone makes fun of the premise, but that's a wonderful idea for a movie aimed at kids. The problem is the movie doesn't do anything with the idea, and weirdly feels aimed at teenagers instead of 8 year olds.

If Paramount can convince Tom Cruise to do a sequel to Top Gun, they should have him do a sequel to Days of Thunder.I'm sure it wasn't that bad this year!
Monster Trucks..
xXx.....
GITS.........
Baywatch.........

Save us Daddy's Home 2!
Not if it sucks.Guys please stop mocking Monster Trucks. Everyone complains about sequels and reboots and finally a studio takes a chance on a brand new original IP and that's not good enough for you.
Not if it sucks.
Do the monsters fuck
They have tentacles, Bobby.
