Dory is impressive, it will probably surpass Zootopia next week.

Seeing all these bombas left and right, is it fair to say that American audiences are less fooled by shitty movies then they were in the past?
Really, never understood why anyone outside of the US should be slightly nostalgic for that.ID:R making less OW than the original is hilarious. I knew there wasn't going to be the same kind of nostalgic pull for ID that there was for Jurassic.

Wasnt even sure that americans would be nostalgic.
The success of Finding Dory will only accelerate Cars 4 to theaters quicker. we have dug our own grave.

Title fail as a Dory + Shallows could have been good.
Wkd BO 6•24-26•16 - Fish rule the land, ID4:2 sinks
In the years since it came out, I think people started realizing the movie just wasn't very good. It had memorable moments (the speech, the white house blowing up), and was the thing that made Will Smith a star, but I think Fox really overestimated people's love for that movie.
I don't think so.
Originally Emmerich wanted to do two films for it. Fox told him he gets one. I feel like if they were really had faith in it, it would have got the two Emmerich wanted.
Why is independence day shortened to ID4? Where does the 4 come from?

Sucks about ID4. Will Smith may or may not have been a boost to the movie, but it was definitely missing his presence. Everyone was there, except him. Made it feel a little off at first. Nonetheless, I thought it was a very mediocre film. It was certainly entertaining, but nothing I'm itching to tell my friends about.
Still haven't seen "Finding Dory" yet (if I'm too lazy I'll just catch after it leaves theaters), but wow. Those are some insane numbers.
Andrew Stanton's out of the doghouse, will probably be wasting hundreds of Disney's millions in a live action CGfest in the near future.
Yeah, the live action re-imagining of FINDING NEMO
Disney isnt going to give their animation directors $175M+ budgets for live action film again in the near future unless they are working on one of the studio driven product lines.
Yeah their animation directors are fucking losers anyways
Give all that money to Kosinski and let's get Tron going again
Tron is deader than dead. RIP Tron.
Sorry Bronson
Kosinski is doing exactly what he needs to do. Nothing at all.
Bad idea IMO.Live action Incredibles.....hmmmm. Not sure if want.
What does Sony have other than Ghostbusters and MiB?You'd almost think studios would look at their (ostensibly) family-friendly superhero properties, then look at what Disney/Pixar are doing, and go "heyyyyyy...."
Warner Bros basically had to be backed into it with Lego Batman. Sony keeps saying they're gonna do it, and then not doing it.
So, I haven't really followed its progress, but would I be right to assume that Alice Through The Looking Glass has been a bit of a flub for Disney? Especially compared to the surprisingly successful original.

More than a flub.

What is this "Bomba" I keep seeing people say here?
I don't get it. It's like... I think you're just adding an "a" to the word "bomb" like that means something? But that can't be it, right?
Outright bomb? I doubt it has a lot of appeal outside North America, and it doesn't seem to be doing well there.
You're the superfan, you should tell us as we're expecting you to go on day 1 and report back if Finding Dory is the second greatest film ever made.Finding Nemo is the greatest film ever made, bar none. Was Dory any good at all? Going to watch it either way but the trailer was as though the director was just following Finding Nemo pretty much, which there's no need for.
