Numbers for Pirates 4 are outdated. It's past 600m Worlwide and will end up being the highest foreign grossing pirate movie in a few weeks (but that was obviously gonna happen).

Also Panda is actually doing really well in most foreign territories, number seems low because it hasn't opened in a lot of them.

In the Xmen's first fight against the Hellfire club, he beat the crap out of Colossus and Storm. By himself. Dude's a badass.

This in response to the other comment made me laugh so hard. Best post I've ever seen in one of these threads.

Saw First Class tonight, I loved it. That's all.

Been a good summer thus far. Looking forward to Captain America and Cowboys and Aliens

His power didn't even make sense to me.
Absorbtion has to be pretty specific rather than just 'I absorb energy'. Wouldn't the impact of bullets still hurt him? Even if he can absorb the explosive power? Could he absorb an arrow shot from a cross-bow shot at his face? What about a good ol' knifing? If any of those can kill him, why can't Magneto hitting him with a large sheet of metal hurt him?

He absorbs KINETIC ENERGY among other energy sources. This means anything that hits
him, like a knife/arrow would lose it's kinetic energy, basically it's forward thrust and fall to the ground. Things like rockets fired at him would lose their thrust but he'd also absorb the thermal energy and the everything emitted by them while the debris would simply fall down.

Something constantly pushed into him would simply have no effect, like when Erik was pushing those metal beams into him and it didn't do anything, he was absorbing the kinetic energy but, unlike bullets they didn't simply fall because Erik was holding them against him

End of First Class spoiler

So Xavier's telepathy is able to disable a mutant's powers? He must have when he froze Shaw, otherwise it would be impossible to kill him. I guess it makes sense since the brain may control mutant powers on some level.

First Class was a pretty good movie. Fassbender, McAvoy and surprisingly Bacon were all very well cast for their roles.

Erik in the first quarter of the movie is so great.

Shaw's power to absorb kinetic energy was disabled by freezing his own movement. If he's unable to move, for his body to absorb the force, then his power is useless.
