I don't know why anyone would ever travel to Ibiza to just experience famous nightclubs full of similar trash i.e. drunk and horny people with loud music that you do in your home town.

He's not wrong...
Ibiza is a beautiful island, but the clubs (apart from being super famous) are not really better than what you're used to.

I also preferred club music in the late 90s, early 00s, but that's just me.

I've been twice. It's an OK place to go, but to be honest it's horribly over-rated. Everybody says go watch the sunset, so I did at Cafe Mambo. It's a fake beach and be prepared to pay through the nose for drinks (same for all the popular venues tbh). Your best going to Sol Y Mar and buying your drink in bulk. Foam party was fun until kicking out time after which the foam has disintegrated into a slushy dirty mess. Stay away from the strip in San An. It's full of dullards and drunkards looking to grab girls asses.

But for all it's down sides it can offer some amazing nights. Best one I remember was in Manumission. Madonna and a few other big names were there. We were even allowed into the VIP area to have a nose. Huge night. Space was amazing as well with the planes over head. Sasha was playing if I remember right.

I thought Ibiza was horribly overrated. Nice place, but wouldn't be on my list of places to visit again.
Beaches, clubs, beach culture lifestyle etc can all be found better else where
