I thought there was I thought they allowed you to preload the game too....It didnt give me any options after I just bought it on the PSN store.
Bought it on PS4. Downloaded the first chunk and the patch in 20 minutes, played the turtorial/introduction and now I need more game data to continue and the downloads are embarrassingly slow.. If it continues at this rate I still won't have the rest of the game by the time I wake up tomorrow. Game feels really smooth though, can't wait to play it!
It's those kinds of review comments that result in so many tacked-on, phoned-in, totally unnecessary multiplayer modes. I wonder if there is any proof whatsoever that those modes do anything to curtail trade-ins.
Gameplay at 9, though.

kay first things frist, whoever said the weapons sound weedy and feel liek pea shooters is talking out of their arse. Early on but i just grabbed the mobile turret and ripped a room of Nazis apart and it felt glorious, and sounded incredible
The sound of the assault rifle is a bit weak IMO. Not bad, but a little more punch in the sound would have been nice.

I've been playing for 21 minutes (according to Steam). I'm running at default settings (1920x1200) on a Geforce GTX 460 and performance seems to be fine. Framerate could be better but it's north of 30, and I'm bellow minimum specs so not too bad.
Graphics/textures are a lot better than I expected, but then I've been reading this thread. They seem to be a step up over Rage, and I'm not seeing any of the texture popup that plagued that game.
As for the game. The start is really good. Best tutorial level ever, even the turret sections were fun... a first for me.
Unfortunately I have work tomorrow, so got to go now.
Damn, we'll see where my 3750k and 670 land. I was hoping for 1080 on high.

just from 2560x1600 down to native res of 1680x1050.
get 45-60 fps, on a 560ti, i7 4770k and 16gb ram. That's all on max bar dof, and shadow maps
Looks like Quake 4 to me.
Neato. Hopefully I can do 2880x1800 -> 1920x1200 then. Thanks for sharing some pics.

Serioulsy, how can a game with visuals like this have any dips from 60 with the setup you have.
The wording used in the AMA was that the choice changes the "vibe" of the game so I'm unsurprised if it's fairly minor.
30-50 FPS on a i5 750 (not overclocked)

How are you doing this? I bought it from the store as well and I dont see anything to download.
Running at 1920x1200, all settings default. I don't know if that's maxed or not.

When you start the game it'll auto download the patch. You need to quit the game and go to Notifications > Downloads to see it.
Idtech 5 has some optimization issues.
Colour me seriously interested in this, I wasn't planning on getting it until it dropped to pretty cheap, but I might buy this soon.

lol okay, its a "please play the game a second time before you flip it out" begging.
It really doesnt change anything except the model.
Sad they went this way. Would be much better if there where different levels too.
