Wolverine narrative lead leaves Insomniac for CDPR

But that's not what players want. Why the fuck would players want games to let them know that lesbians and gays are important? If anything, insisting on letting players KNOW that people designed their games specifically for that purpose will take them out of the experience.

You don't need games to tell you to treat people with respect (which is what I believe the LGBTQ community wants). It's just common sense and human decency.

Reminds me of Celeste.

Before it was a massive success and all eyes were on the studio, the game was just about a girl climbing a mountain facing some unknown personal demons. It could be depression, anxiety, gender relations, romantic relations, etc. it was entirely up to the player to decide how to interpret it.

After they got success and the gaming press heavily focused on the trans musician they had? All that got thrown out the window. It was always a trans allegory, and only bigots and transphobes would argue otherwise - or so they and many of the mental malcontents claimed.

I platinumed the game and loved every second. I remember when all that started and it was very odd to me that it needed to be obsessed over and over and over again, like the blue hairs needed to make sure noone forgot. Like who the fuck cares....it was a great game with an awesome soundtrack.

Nothing to see here, I guess.

When you make it for everyone you make it for no one.

For me it damages the product. They had this title that could appeal to so many people, but instead of allowing that to happen, they retroactively change it and push it as a vehicle for identity politics.
